Development consultant with strong skills in Power BI and statistics

Do you translate data into insights, develop reports that are used, and create smarter workflows?

In Finance and Payroll in Frederikshavn Municipality we are looking for a development consultant who can combine strong competencies in Power BI and statistics with the desire to develop our tasks and workflows.

You will have a central role in developing data-driven managerial information and will help create solutions that give managers and employees a better basis for making decisions. At the same time, you should contribute to optimizing, digitalizing and automating administrative workflows and the overall financial management setup in the municipality.

Your main tasks

You will among other things

• work with data modeling
• Develop the controller function's financial management foundation
• collect, collate and quality-assure data from different sources
• develop statistical analyses, forecasts, key figures and decision support
• conduct, among other things, activity, capacity, population and resource analyses
• identify opportunities for digitalization and automation
• develop, maintain and improve reports and dashboards in Power BI

The position gives you the opportunity to delve into data and work closely with colleagues and leaders across the municipality. You follow the solutions from the initial idea and needs assessment to the finished solution being put into use.

The tasks can for example include analyses where working time, absence, activities, capacity, resource needs and financial consequences must be viewed in context.

We are looking for someone who

• has experience developing reports in Power BI
• has strong competencies in statistics, methodology and data analysis
• can translate complex data into clear messages and user-friendly solutions
• has an eye for both the technical solution and the underlying need
• are interested in development, process optimization and automation
• thrives in collaboration with different disciplines.

You do not need to be able to do everything at once. The most important thing is that you are strong in Power BI, have solid statistical competencies, and are passionate about developing solutions that work in practice.

You have a relevant higher education degree in, for example, statistics, data analysis, economics, social sciences and similar.

Practical information

The position is a permanent full-time role of 37 hours with the workplace at Frederikshavn Town Hall, Town Hall Avenue 100, 9900 Frederikshavn.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, and further information will be provided in connection with the interviews. Interviews will be held on 26 October 2026.

Commencement date by agreement but preferably as soon as possible.
