About the role

As development lead you will play a central role in the daily technical leadership of an experienced development team.

You will be the link between the technical day-to-day and the broader managerial context. That means you must be able to dive into architecture, system design and concrete implementations – and at the same time create an overview, explain technical choices and support the team's daily execution. About half of your time will be dedicated to development, architecture and technical decisions, while the other half will focus on coordination, prioritization and sparring with the team.

The role is therefore for you who are still motivated by the technical craft, but who also thrives with responsibility, coordination and close collaboration across development, QA, Product and management.

You will work in a modern Microsoft environment with .NET, C#, Web API and ASP.NET Core as well as solutions built around, among others, OpenSearch, Azure SQL Server and Azure Blob Storage.

Your tasks will include

• Ensure daily technical progress in the team through coordination, prioritization and ongoing follow-up on tasks and deliveries
• Distribute and coordinate development work based on competencies, capacity and business priorities
• Actively participate in development and take co-responsibility for implementing solutions in the codebase
• Translate business needs and high-level requirements into technical decompositions, estimates and concrete development tasks
• Make and qualify technical decisions about architecture, system design, scalability and the interaction between components
• Create coherence between development, QA, Product Owner and management through clear technical communication and ongoing sparring
• Contribute to stable operation and performance by prioritizing production‑oriented issues, uptime and robustness
• Help further develop the team's working processes and development flow

About you

We are looking for a person with a strong technical background and solid experience from professional software environments. You have worked extensively with .NET and modern software development, likely with technologies such as C#, Web API, ASP.NET Core and cloud-based solutions, and have experience from a role where you had responsibility for more than your own development.

It could be as development lead, technical lead, lead developer – or in a role where you naturally set technical direction, coordinated development work and helped other developers progress well.

• Work with architecture and system design in solutions where scalability and robustness are an important part of daily work
• Can navigate between details and overview and know when what is needed
• Move naturally between backend and frontend and understand their interaction
• Communicate technical issues in a way that creates clarity

Works effortlessly in both Danish and English in a daily setting with collaboration across locations and functions

Experience with cloud environments – especially Azure – is an advantage, as is experience with data storage and search solutions in modern software architecture.

You naturally keep several things going at once and have an eye for where the team needs your attention. You are curious enough to ask questions when something doesn't make sense – technically as well as personally – and you take responsibility to move things forward rather than waiting for someone to point.

Hella Gutmann develops software and data solutions for the workshop industry focusing on making technical information more usable in mechanics' daily workflows. The solutions are web-based and work across devices, so users can access it where the work happens.

The characteristic of the product is a process-oriented approach to data. Instead of functioning as a classic reference book, the solution supports workshops' real workflow and makes relevant data available in the right context. It places high demands on both software, data quality and understanding of users' daily life.

The company is part of an international group (Hella Gutmann Holding GmbH) with increasing focus on software and digital products. This means the area has become more strategically important, and there is great attention to how the solution can be developed and work together with other products in the workshop ecosystem.
