About the job

Are you passionate about developing the quality of municipal nursing, strengthening the professionalism of staff and turning new initiatives into good practice?

We are seeking a development nurse who can help support the ongoing development of our nursing. You will have a central role in quality development, implementation of workflows and competence development, including work with the Elderly Act and the health reform. You will become an important sparring partner for both leaders and staff and have close collaboration with the other development nurses and health professional consultants.

With us you will have the opportunity to make a difference for both citizens and colleagues by creating coherence between professional ambitions, quality and practice.

Be part of developing tomorrow's nursing

As a development nurse, you will work to strengthen the quality of nursing and ensure that new methods, workflows and professional initiatives are translated into action in everyday practice.

You will be the link between management, staff and professional development initiatives and must contribute to ensuring that our nursing is based on high professional quality, learning and evidence.

Your tasks will include

  • to plan, coordinate and support the implementation of new workflows and professional initiatives
  • to facilitate development and improvement processes across nursing and home care
  • to support work on quality, documentation and patient safety
  • to conduct training, professional presentations and competence development courses
  • to participate in audits, follow-up on quality goals and analysis of improvement potentials
  • to translate new knowledge, recommendations and political decisions into concrete solutions in practice, including the health reform and the Elderly Act.
  • to function as a professional sparring partner for managers and staff.
  • Ensure workflows and instructions are implemented in all shifts.

Quality is created in collaboration

We are about 45 nurses organized into five districts as well as evening and night shifts. We work purposefully to strengthen the quality of our efforts and develop municipal nursing in line with the increasing demands and complex citizen journeys.

You will become part of an organization where we see development as something we create together. Therefore we place emphasis on involvement, cross-disciplinary collaboration and close dialogue with the staff who translate the ambitions into practice every day.

You will have close collaboration with leaders, nurses and other key people in the organization and good opportunities to influence both direction and solutions.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a licensed nurse
  • has experience with quality and development work or wishes to specialize in the area, has an understanding of implementation and change processes
  • can create engagement and buy-in around new initiatives
  • enjoys facilitating learning, teaching and professional sparring
  • works in a structured way and can drive tasks from idea to implementation
  • has good collaboration and communication skills

It would be an advantage if you have experience with quality work, project management, improvement methods, audits or competence development, but it is not a requirement.

What we offer

  • a key position with great significance for professional development
  • opportunity to influence the development of municipal nursing
  • close collaboration with management, other development nurses and key professionals
  • engaged and competent colleagues
  • opportunities for competence development
  • a workplace characterized by trust, collaboration and high professional standards.

Practical information

  • The job is full-time with start on December 1st or by agreement.
  • Salary and terms of employment follow the current collective agreement.
  • In connection with employment, a police clearance and references will be obtained.

Application deadline Thursday, October 22, 2026
