Do you want to help create better life chances for children and young people and set the direction for one of Randers Municipality's most important strategic agendas?

Randers Municipality is seeking a new Director of Children and Schools. You will be responsible for Children, School, Family, Secretariat as well as Finance and Administration. The area employs about 3,000 staff and has daily contact with around 16,500 children.

The position is a central top management role in one of the country's largest municipalities. You will become part of the municipality's overall leadership and also play a key role in Randers Municipality's Future – the council's and the municipality's large strategic change program. Here the ambition is to create better life chances for more citizens through among other things education, employment and well-being.

As director you thus have both responsibility for a large and complex organization and the opportunity to influence some of Randers Municipality's most important strategic agendas.

Cross-department collaboration is part of our culture and the way the organization works. You will be part of a management team that works collegially, helps each other and takes joint responsibility for the municipality's development, and you will take over the leadership of an experienced management group with clear professional competences.

In the coming period there will, among other things, be particular leadership attention on capacity in the day care area, quality and results in primary school, finances and prioritization as well as the coherence between the general and special areas. In addition, work on early and coherent interventions for children and young people in vulnerable positions.

We are looking for an experienced and trust-building leader with municipal experience and a secure view of the whole. You have solid leadership experience, preferably at director level and at least with management of chiefs. You create followership, set direction and give capable managers real responsibility and leadership room. Insight into the children and youth area is an advantage, but the decisive thing is your ability to lead the whole and navigate safely in the municipal reality.
