Director of Corporate Taxation for the Tax Administration

As Director of Corporate Tax at the Tax Administration, you will become a member of the management board of Denmark's largest agency. You will be responsible for 840 employees and managers who every day work to ensure the collection of taxes and duties from Denmark's companies. Thus the professional area constitutes a central part of ensuring the financing of the Danish welfare state.

Your responsibility as Director of Corporate Tax

The Corporate Tax area is in contact with all Danish companies each year – from the largest groups to the smallest private limited companies – and helps ensure that companies, funds and associations pay the correct taxes and duties on time. The area has approx. 840 employees distributed across four under-directorates.

As Director of Corporate Tax you must be a strong leader and have a professional profile that can build on the good results and the well-functioning collaboration with companies and internal and external stakeholders.

Companies in Denmark are characterized by being professional actors who each year contribute a large tax revenue in corporate tax and VAT etc. As Director you will help to make it easier for companies to report correctly through the right solutions, guidance and appropriate control and with the companies’ legal certainty at the center.

You must create the framework for efficient operation and development of your professional area and build on a good and close stakeholder collaboration within the framework of the Tax Administration's overall strategy. This must happen in close dialogue and cooperation with your fellow directors, under-directors, the Ministry of Taxation and Growth’s department and other stakeholders.

Digitalization and globalization impose large, new demands on the collection of corporate taxes, and it will be your task to ensure that tasks, systems and processes follow societal development and changing requirements from e.g., the Parliament and the EU. You must be able to secure and lead modernization of complex system complexes, implementation of new directives and develop processes in your area of expertise to benefit companies in and outside Denmark.

As Director you report to the Director General of the Tax Administration, Thomas Hjortenberg. You will be part of the management team, which besides the Director General consists of the directors of each of the Tax Administration's seven areas. You must be a role model for the organization and together with the rest of the management lead based on our values: professionalism, responsibility, collaboration and foresight.

Our upcoming Director

This is an exciting and development-focused top management position, where we would like to see that:

• You have experience in top management and are driven to create visible results for both daily operations and strategic and organizational development
• You have strong analytical capacity and can communicate professionally and technically complex matters to a strategic and political level
• You understand and have experience with the interaction between IT development, operations and strategy in a politically led organization
• You are attentive, open, collaborative and good at engaging in dialogue with your own leadership chain, partners and stakeholders
• You work strategically with the development of your organization and can see how tax payment can be adapted to companies' needs in an increasingly digital environment.

We also place emphasis on having a relevant education, preferably academically at a relevant master's level. Experience from the tax or business field is an advantage but not a condition. In addition you must have experience leading leaders.

Salary and terms of employment are negotiated in accordance with the framework agreement on contractual employment of managers in the state. The position is placed in salary grade 3, corresponding to salary framework 39. The position is expected to be filled on a permanent basis.

You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with associated institutions. Your workplace will be either Hannemanns Allé 25, 2300 Copenhagen S or Lyseng Allé 1, 8270 Højbjerg.
