About the job

Are you driven by developing people and ensuring quality in elderly care? And would you stand at the helm of a home where resident wellbeing, high professional quality, and staff joy are the driving forces? Then it may be you we are looking for.

Danske Diakonhjem is seeking a present and clear head of the home to Haderslev Friplejehjem, where the Christian life and view of humanity are the foundation for how we run the home.

Your responsibilities and tasks As head of Haderslev Friplejehjem you are responsible for the home as a whole, and you will drive, lead, and develop the home. We seek a leader who can set clear direction, gain followers, create structure, and be a culture bearer at a home where the values live in daily life.

Your responsibilities and tasks will include, among others, to

  • lead the home's staff with a focus on professional development, high quality, and staff wellbeing.
  • create the framework for a good collaboration between management, staff, residents, relatives and volunteers.
  • ensure a good collaboration with Haderslev Municipality, the local community, and the home’s other partners.

  • implement and maintain workflows at the home that ensure work is performed efficiently and with high health-professional quality.

What do we expect from you? Through dialogue, visible leadership, and involvement you should work purposefully to ensure stability, clarity, and presence, so that staff experience secure surroundings and a clear expectation alignment. You will, together with the staff, be able to create a safe home for the residents.

You are a present and listening leader who builds trust and strong relationships in meetings with residents, relatives, staff, and volunteers. As head you lead with values as a compass, and you manage to navigate the tension between values, professionalism, legislation, and finances while keeping your eye on those we are here for: the residents.

To succeed as head of Haderslev Friplejehjem you must have experience with leadership in elder care and a health-professional education, preferably as a nurse.

What we offer you? You will have a large space for leadership and freedom to shape the home as a workplace. You can look forward to:

  • A workplace with engaged and professionally skilled staff who are passionate about their work.
  • A community where residents, relatives, volunteers, and staff work closely together with mutual respect.
  • A daily life filled with activity and experiences—created in collaboration with and for the residents.
  • Competent support from Danske Diakonhjem’s head office, advising on everything from administration, finances and HR to technology and operations.
  • A mentor who knows the organization and has experience with running a nursing home.
  • A strong network with other head nurses in Danske Diakonhjem, where you receive sparring, inspiration, and opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • Participation in Danske Diakonhjem’s professional leadership education, annual leadership conferences, occupational health days, and other relevant topic days.
