Do you want to lead a new emergency and short-term offering for children and young people?

Children and Youth Center Mølholmhus / KFUM's Social Work are seeking an engaged and proactive head to the newly established Mølholmhus in Vejle.

Mølholmhus is a new home for children and young people with space for 14 children and youths aged 2-17. Here, children and young people should find security, care and stability during a difficult period in their lives, while good conditions are created for the child’s or the young person’s further life and next steps.

As head you will have a unique opportunity to build a new offering from the ground up. You will set the direction for professionalism, culture and organization and create the best framework for both children, young people and staff.

Your main tasks

You will have overall responsibility for the operation, development and leadership of Mølholmhus. You will among other things:

• create a safe and professional culture for children, young people and staff
• ensure high social-pedagogical quality and a clear professional direction
• lead, develop and retain staff
• ensure a good working environment characterized by collaboration, trust and responsibility
• be responsible for finances, budget and sustainable operation
• develop cooperation with municipalities, parents, networks and other partners
• ensure documentation, quality assurance and a good collaboration with the Social Inspection
• contribute to Mølholmhus' continued development and position as an attractive offer.

As head you report to Mølholmhus' board and work closely with the chair of the board. You will also be part of KFUM's Social Work's professional and managerial community.

Who are you?

You have a relevant pedagogical or social-scientific background and management experience, preferably from the specialized social sector.

We are seeking both a head and a deputy

Mølholmhus is brand new, and therefore we are advertising the head and deputy positions simultaneously.

We see it as a great strength that the two leaders from the outset can find each other as a good duo and together help give Mølholmhus life, direction and a strong professional culture.

As head you will therefore not just be part of an already established leadership. You will have the opportunity, together with the deputy, to build Mølholmhus from the ground up – both as a home for the children and as a workplace for the staff.

We are looking for two people who can complement each other, challenge each other constructively and stand together for the direction. Therefore, we will also pay attention to the interaction between the two roles when recruiting.

A unique opportunity

Mølholmhus is not a finished organization. Together with staff, the board and KFUM's Social Work, you will help create a safe, temporary home for children and young people with a strong professional culture and a clear identity.

As a service with emergency function, Mølholmhus must be able to receive children and youths 24/7, 365 days a year. Therefore you must be able to ensure a stable and professional effort, also when needs arise acutely.

Salary and terms of employment: The board expects to be affiliated with SL's collective agreement. Salary is determined by qualifications. This is a full-time position without the highest length of service.
