About the job

We are looking for two new colleagues who want to help ensure professionally strong case processing of applications for residence- and work permits for foreigners in Greenland, as well as concrete guidance for both employees and employers in our citizen center in Nuuk.

About the position

You will become part of our unit in Nuuk, which opened in autumn 2025, where you will have the opportunity to influence both the case processing and citizen service in this unit. We are currently staffed with five skilled employees as well as a unit chief.

As our new colleague you will be part of a unit where our joint goal is to ensure efficient workflows, so we can make correct decisions within the defined service targets and deliver professional and concrete guidance to employee and employer.

The unit is established in good office facilities in Nuuk. The office location provides easy access to the city center with dining options, cinema and shopping and is at the same time a short distance to Nuuk’s many facilities and beautiful Greenlandic nature with opportunities for skiing, boat trips and hiking.

For further information about daily life in Nuuk we refer to the municipality’s website here .

  • make legal assessments, including whether there is a need for additional information in cases
  • contribute to clarification and development of practice in the unit
  • guide our users by phone and in writing

We take your onboarding seriously and make an effort to give you a good start. From day one you will have an onboarding program where you are introduced to SIRI as a workplace and ensure that you are professionally equipped to commence case processing and solve the unit’s other tasks.

Since we are a smaller unit, there will also be practical ad hoc tasks in everyday life, and you will have the opportunity to contribute broadly to task solving.

You can, among other things, expect

  • opportunity to continuously develop your competencies – both through courses and new tasks
  • focus on your well-being and healthy work-life balance with the possibility of flexible frameworks with flextime

In SIRI we have an informal tone, and we are characterized by a strong collegial and social community across the agency. The cohesion in SIRI is large, and we will also have a focus on it despite the geographical distance between SIRI Valby and SIRI Nuuk.

About you

We imagine that you have a relevant academic educational background, preferably cand.jur. If you have another education in social sciences or similar, you are also welcome to apply.

In addition we imagine that you

  • would like to support the development of our unit, and you either live or are ready to settle in Greenland
  • have experience with administrative law – preferably in practice
  • are motivated by concrete case processing and have an interest in the immigration area
  • work independently, structured and efficiently
