Project Manager with experience in the construction sector for Herlev Municipality

Herlev Municipality is seeking a professionally strong project manager for the Building Department. We face an exciting portfolio of renovations, transformations and new construction, where sustainability and the "preserve or explain" principle are at the forefront. We renovate and upgrade indoor and outdoor spaces for the city's residents, including day care, schools, services for adults, culture and sports facilities.

Your role as client and project manager

You will be responsible for building projects from vision to reality. We emphasize that you either have insight into site work or experience in identifying, defining and describing tasks in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and translating them into tender material.

You should thrive in both strategic and practical procurement work.

Your primary tasks will be

• Project management: Management of building projects from needs assessment to delivery, including dialogue with stakeholders and contractors.
• Client advisory: Support to the municipal council, management and leaders with analyses, decision proposals and strategic sparring.
• Governance/Control: Responsibility for procurement, tendering and contracting, as well as tight financial and time management.
• Technical sparring: Contribute with specialist knowledge (e.g. electrical, HVAC, structural, or fire) in a team of 8 colleagues.

About you

We imagine that you are educated as a building constructor, architect or engineer with solid experience from construction and renovation projects. You may also have a crafts background with continuing education or relevant experience from the public sector.

Salary and employment

The position is 37 hours (with possible flexibility) and to be filled as soon as possible and no later than January 4, 2027. Salary and allowances according to qualifications and experience within public collective agreements. Salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement and the new pay principles. Herlev Municipality has a smoke-free working time.
