About the job

We are seeking a present, warm-hearted helper for Alia – a happy and loving girl with a very special view of the world. Maybe it is you who should help give her security, support and presence in everyday life?

Who is Alia?

Alia is a curious and joyful girl who experiences the world in her own way – often with her mouth as a sense tool and with sounds rather than words. She has not yet developed spoken language, but she still communicates with those she feels safe with. And you can feel it!

She needs an adult by her side – someone who sees her, feels her, and helps her navigate the world. When she feels safe, her personality blossoms, and she quickly forms close bonds.

Your role as employee

As Alia’s helper you will become an important support in her daily life. Your presence and your attentiveness will be crucial for her well-being and development. You should be her safe base, which with calm, care and stability gives her the opportunity to explore the world at her own pace.

You will be part of a everyday life with structure and love, where interaction and presence are keywords. You will work closely with Alia’s family, who will welcome you warmly and support you in the task.

We imagine that you...

  • Have a calm and warm demeanour.
  • Are patient, stable and genuinely interested in making a difference for a child with special needs.
  • Have experience with (or interest in) autism and developmental disability – but the most important is your approach, not your education.
  • Are flexible and can meet Alia exactly where she is, even when the day does not go as planned.
  • Are good at creating contact and presence, and can be present in the small and the intimate.

Working hours and flexibility

The shifts are 2 weekdays in the time frame 15:30-18:30 (Thursday and Friday)

1 weekend per month 8 hours Saturday and Sunday.

But most importantly: You are very welcome to apply – even if you cannot attend every day . We know that flexibility creates the best framework for both you and Alia, and we would very much like to find a solution together with you.

Alia’s parents will be at home during the shifts, but their primary focus is on her twin siblings. You are therefore never alone with the responsibility, but will have your own meaningful role.

Salary and terms

You are employed through Olivia Denmark , where we work with high professionalism and great respect for both citizens and employees. Salary and terms of employment follow the agreement with FOA, and are set based on your qualifications and experience.

Application and contact

Apply for the position as soon as possible or before the deadline. We call for interviews on an ongoing basis, so please feel free to write to us today.

We look forward to hearing from you.
