About the job
Become one of four colleagues in Flexible Support – part of SIU, Social Intervention Team.
Are you passionate about supporting people with various social and psychological challenges? Do you thrive in a daily life where relationships, professionalism and flexibility go hand in hand? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About Flexible Support Flexible Support is a part of SIU – Social Intervention Team in the Municipality of Tårnby, consisting of 13 social professionals, a homelessness unit, flexible support and a manager. As our new colleague, you will be one of four staff members in flexible support.
We provide social-pedagogical support under the Social Services Act section 85 and meet the citizens in their own homes. And we are therefore a mobile team. The support is based on the individual citizen’s needs, resources and goals. The citizen group is broadly composed and includes people with various social, psychological, and practical challenges.
Two of the team’s four employees also handle our offering of temporary housing under the Social Services Act section 80. As a new colleague, you will be one of the two staff members who have this task. Here, we support citizens who, for a period, are without their own dwelling.
We work from a recovery-oriented and rehabilitative approach with respect for each citizen’s wishes, opportunities and right to self-determination.
A workplace with shared responsibility With us, we share responsibility for the citizens. You are therefore not only tied to individual citizens, but you join in close collaboration with colleagues to ensure coherence, continuity and quality in the efforts. Some citizens may, due to functional level and capabilities, have two primary mentors.
We help each other, share professional reflections and find solutions together. Everyday life can be changeable, and therefore it is important that you can maintain an overview, be adaptable and meet both citizens and colleagues with calm, curiosity and respect.
Working hours The work is arranged flexibly and takes place
- On weekdays in the time frame 08:00–22:00
- On weekends and public holidays in the time frame 10:00–20:00
You must therefore be prepared for day, evening, weekend and holiday work. As it stands now, you should expect 1 weekly evening shift and weekend work every 4th weekend.
The flexibility works both ways, and we strive to plan working hours with regard to both citizens’ needs and employees’ work-life balance.
We imagine that you
- are educated as a pedagogue, occupational therapist or are a social and health care assistant.
- have an interest in – and preferably experience with – social psychiatry and vulnerable citizens.
- are good at establishing trusting and professional relationships.
- can work independently while also seeing yourself as part of a shared team.
- are flexible and can stay calm when plans or needs change.
- can work structured with documentation, goals and follow-up.
- meet the citizens in an appreciative manner and with a focus on their resources.
- actively contribute to a good working environment and a strong collegial community.
We offer
- a meaningful job where you get the opportunity to make a concrete difference.
- a varied workday with a broad and exciting citizen group.
- capable and committed colleagues who lift the task together.
- a professional environment with room for reflection, sparring and development.
- influence on the organization of the work.
- a workplace where flexibility, collaboration and responsibility are highly valued.
Would you like to become part of us? If you can see yourself in a workplace where we are collectively responsible for the citizens, and where no day is necessarily the same, we look forward to receiving your motivated application. It is important that you describe why you think you are the right person for the job.
