About the job
Part-time position of about 10 hours per week in Sønderborg Municipality
We are looking for a warm, present and engaged employee who would like to become an important part of the daily life of a wonderful 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.
As an employee at Handicapkonsulenterne, your most important task is to give the boy good and safe moments – and at the same time provide the family with the respite they need.
This is a job for you who loves children, would like to use your professional skills in a more personal setting, and is motivated to make a concrete difference for a child and his family.
What does the job involve?
You will become part of a helper team around the boy and work in the family's private home. The work includes, among other things, spending time with him, creating a safe and secure environment and supporting him in daily life.
You work closely with the family, who, of course, provide thorough training so you feel confident in the task. You are not alone with the responsibility from day one.
The position is for about 10 hours per week , primarily distributed over midday, afternoon and evening hours.
There may also be opportunities for extra hours due to illness and vacation in the helper team as well as occasional weekends if you want and are able to do so.
Who are we looking for?
We imagine that you
- are health-care educated or have relevant experience
- have a desire to work with children and people with disabilities
- are caring, patient and present
- are responsible and comfortable working in a private home
- are proactive and eager to learn
- are flexible and can join a team around the child
You do not necessarily need to be health-care educated. If you have relevant experience from the disability sector, pedagogical work or work with children, we would love to hear from you.
What you get with us
You will have the opportunity to obtain a meaningful part-time job where the relationship with a child is central.
You become part of a team around the boy and the family, and you will receive thorough training before you take on the task independently.
It is also a position that can suit you who want stable, manageable hours alongside studies, other work or other commitments.
Start: November 1 – preferably with training beforehand.
Does that sound like something for you?
Then we would love to hear from you.
Send a short, motivated application and your CV, where you tell a little about yourself, your education and/or experience – and why you could see yourself in this particular task.
Application and CV are sent to [email protected]
