About the job

We are seeking 1-2 caseworkers for permanent positions for our follow-up group in the Sick Leave Benefit Team, possibly with one starting in job clarification.

Would you like to use your employment- and social-work competences together with your legal understanding to help sick-listed citizens maintain or regain their connection to the labor market? Do you thrive with responsibility, close citizen contact and collaboration with employers? Then you may be one of our new colleagues in the Sick Leave Benefit Team's follow-up group. In the Sick Leave Benefit Team you will be part of a department with high professional standards, close sparring and strong engagement.

In the follow-up group you will primarily work with citizens who have a longer illness trajectory, where your role is to help and support a quick return to the labor market.

We work purposefully to act early in the sick-leave process, while attachment to the labor market remains strong. Together with the citizen you explore possibilities for retention, partial sick leave, gradual return, development of work capacity, disability compensating schemes, and other relevant solutions.

You will have independent authority responsibility, where correct case processing, timely follow-up and clear communication go hand in hand with an employment-oriented effort. You will also have access to close professional sparring with colleagues and partners.

The tasks are carried out in collaboration with among others colleagues in the team, job consultants, the benefits area, businesses, health actors and other relevant partners.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Maintain contact with sickness benefit recipients and employers with a focus on follow-up, clarification and return to the labor market
  • Hold employment-oriented conversations and plan individual pathways based on the citizen's situation, resources and possibilities
  • Make social- and legal assessments, including assessing unsuitability for work under the Sick Leave Act § 7
  • Engage in close dialogue with citizens and employers regarding, among other things, partial sick leave, gradual return and other relevant retention options
  • Make decisions on the right to sickness benefits and ensure that cases are sufficiently informed and documented
  • Convey legislation, professional assessments and decisions clearly, respectfully and understandably
  • Translate professional assessments into concrete next steps and create progress in cases
  • Actively contribute to professional sparring, development of practice and cross-sector collaboration across the Center for Labor Market and the municipality

We expect that you

  • Are educated social worker or social mediator or have another relevant social-professional background and experience from the employment field
  • Have interest in and preferably experience with: authority work, the Sick Leave Act, employment legislation and administrative law
  • Believe that everyone has a place in the labor market despite any shielding considerations, so that we work on developing citizens' resources and work capacity
  • Can work in a structured, independent and action-oriented way in a daily life with changing tasks and deadlines
  • Meet citizens, employers and partners professionally, recognizing and clear
  • Can combine the authority role with a clear employment-oriented focus
  • Are curious about legislation, workflows and professional methods and want to develop both own and shared practice
  • Contribute positively to the work community and see the value in sparring, shared responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration

We offer

  • A varied everyday life, where you use legal, social, employment-related and relational competences
  • A professionally strong team with an open sparring culture and colleagues who help each other
  • A thorough introduction and ongoing professional support so you get well into the field and the workflows
  • Opportunity to influence and develop practice in a sickness-benefit area in transition
  • A work environment characterized by commitment, humor and respect for diversity
  • Possibility of up to two days of remote work per week, once you are well into the tasks and the core task allows it
