Doctors for introductory positions in Anesthesiology, Bispebjerg Hospital

At the Anesthesiology Department, Bispebjerg Hospital there are two 1-year introductory positions available to fill, namely from February 1 and April 1, 2027.

For each position we are seeking a dynamic doctor

• who is good at communication and collaboration
• who enjoys interdisciplinary work
• who has manual dexterity and flair for acute work with many balls in the air at once while keeping control of the details of the individual patient

The department follows the training program from the Danish Society of Anesthesiology (DASAIM). More information about portfolio and objectives can be read on the society's website www.dasaim.dk.

You will receive formal training for 8 weeks, during which you do not work shifts. After completion of training you join the on-call team with independent daytime function and about 3-5 evening-night shifts per month.

The on-call duty at the Anesthesiology Department consists of a resident and three specialists (or 1st-year residents) in on-site duty, of which one specialist is fixed attached to the operating room.

Strong focus on education

Education is a high priority in the department and received DASAIM's education prize in 2020. We have good cohesion among our training doctors at all levels, and can particularly highlight a strong feedback culture across disciplines and levels, and a well-functioning buddy system for all residents.

During the introductory training there is also the possibility of administrative tasks if desired. The department also has a large and active research environment with a professorship and several ongoing PhD programs.

Anesthesiology Department Z includes in addition to the anesthesia ward, among others, a perioperative unit (recovery), intensive care unit and pain clinic. As an introductory doctor you will mainly be affiliated with the anesthesia ward. We perform annually about 11,500 anesthesias primarily for elective and acute abdominal and orthopedic surgery, but also for the wound healing knowledge center, dermatology department, ECT treatment and DC conversions.

The anesthesia ward at Bispebjerg participates in close collaboration with the emergency department in connection with the reception of trauma patients and medically acute patients. You can read more about our department at www.bispebjerghospital.dk.

About Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital

Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is one of the capital's large acute hospitals. The hospital on the Bispebjerg campus was built in 1913 and houses a number of historic and listed buildings surrounded by award-winning, park-like outdoor areas known as the healing gardens.
