Operations Coordinator for the road area in Operations and Service

A central role close to daily operations

As an operations coordinator you will be part of the road area in Operations and Service and work closely with operations coordinators, operations planners, project managers and department heads on daily operations and the development of the area.

You plan, coordinate and follow up so that tasks, resources and professional priorities hang together and are solved efficiently with high quality.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Together with your coordinator colleague you will be a professional sparring partner for our teams within, among other things, asphalt, drainage, manholes, road supervision, trucks, workshop and pest control.
• Plan and coordinate projects and additional tasks and ensure clear handover.
• Supervise the quality of the work performed.
• Support construction tasks, including financial follow-up and tendering.
• Handle citizen inquiries and administrative tasks.
• Work closely with Roads, Traffic and Urban Development in Technology and Environment.
• Participate in a on-call system as incident commander in winter and road watch in summer.

Who are you?

• Have experience with professional coordination or a desire for a coordinating role.
• Have a flair for IT; we use, among other things, Driftweb, GIS and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Work in a structured and solution-oriented way with a focus on overview and progress.
• Have a relevant professional background, e.g. as a paving contractor, civil engineer or within contractor- or municipal operations. Your specific education is not decisive.

We handle road, park, cleaning and canteen operations and deliver service and quality to

the municipality's citizens and businesses daily.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with a workplace at Hammershusvej 7, Herning.

You report to the department head for the road area.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
