Driver for Skanderborg Activity Center

Would you like to help create a safe start and finish to the day for our citizens?

We are seeking a stable, responsible and service-minded driver for transporting citizens to and from our activities and social interaction services. The position is 8-10 hours per week and is suitable for you who are looking for meaningful work with a limited weekly schedule. We’d also like to hear from you if you are instead interested in being connected as an on-call substitute.

About the job

As a driver you are often the first and last employee from Skanderborg Activity Center that the citizens meet during the day. You therefore have an important role in creating safety, familiarity and good relationships.

You will become part of a driver team consisting of 11 drivers, who handle passenger transport in 7 buses. We place emphasis on collaboration, helpfulness and a joint effort to ensure safe and stable transport for the citizens.

The working hours for the permanent position amount to about 8-10 hours per week and primarily fall on weekdays within the following time slots

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00-09:30 and 14:30-16:30
• Mondays in odd weeks: 12:20-14:20
• Friday: 07:00-09:30 and 11:40-14:00

There may be variations and occasional trips outside these times, and the working hours follow the citizens' transportation needs to and from the Activity Center.

During working hours there is time built in for unforeseen events, including traffic conditions and minor delays. In addition, it is part of the job that you continuously stay informed in your work email, as important information regarding citizens, transport and work plans is communicated here.

Your primary tasks will be

• Transporting citizens to and from Skanderborg Activity Center
• Assistance with safe boarding and alighting.
• Ensuring correct use of safety equipment.
• Daily inspection of the bus and reporting any faults or deficiencies.
• Collaboration with staff and relatives regarding citizens' transport.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a valid driver's license.
• Drives safely and responsibly.
• Is reliable and flexible.
• Has an acknowledging and respectful approach to people.
• Trives with contact to citizens with physical, mental or social challenges.
• Can remain calm and maintain overview in unforeseen situations.

Experience with passenger transport or working with citizens is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Practical information

The position is to be filled by November 1, 2026.

If you are able to start earlier, this is also possible.

There is always holiday closure in the industrial holiday, between Christmas and New Year, as well as on a number of holidays and other planned closing days.
