- Are you ready to start early and flexibly in the interventions
- And can you navigate both formal and informal spaces, and create positive energy around you.
So, maybe you are our new colleague?
You will take on assignments that are characterized by the fact that the cases are often complex and challenging, and that there is a need for either preventive, anticipatory or intervening actions for a period that ensures the child’s or the young person’s development and well-being in their close care, school or educational environment. It requires strong social-pedagogical competencies to be able to build relationships and understand the degree of complexity of the problems, and to support and motivate changes for the child, the young person and the family.
We work when children, youth and families need us. Therefore, working hours will vary between morning, day and afternoon hours, and there can exceptionally be evening and weekend work. In return you will largely plan your own work day, and there is the possibility of working from home with documentation and other written work.
Your main tasks
To carry out interventions in families as well as with children and young people following a grant from the Child and Adolescent Advisory Service in accordance with the Children’s Act § 32, pkt. 1, no. 2 (practical, pedagogical or other home support) and § 32, pkt. 1, no. 3 (contact person for the child, the young person or the family). The interventions are carried out as part of Family House’s offerings and aim to support the goals set by the authorities, with a view to strengthening the child’s or the young person’s well-being, development and opportunities for action.
- Practical pedagogical support: As an employee in practical pedagogical support you work in the family’s own home with a view to strengthening the family’s resources and creating the best possible development conditions for the child. You support the parents in creating structure, predictability and safe frameworks in everyday life and contribute to the development of parenting skills through guidance, training and pedagogical support. The tasks can include support for establishing daily routines, working with the child’s well-being and development, school attendance, collaboration with day care and school and supporting the family’s ability to independently handle everyday challenges.
- Contact person for children, young people and families: As a contact person you support children, young people and families who need special support. The task consists of establishing and maintaining a trusting relationship with a focus on well-being, development and mastery of everyday life. You function as a stable adult who, through relationship work, guidance and motivating support, helps the child, the young person or the family achieve the goals set in the intervention. The tasks can include support for schooling, leisure activities, social relations, networks, daily structure as well as coordination and collaboration with relevant professionals and partners.
We are looking for a colleague who
- Keeps the child/young person at the center
- Has a degree in pedagogy
- Has experience with contact person work and/or practical pedagogical support in homes
- Can work goal-oriented and has experience with creating developmental interventions for children, young people and families
- Can work independently on assignments with vulnerable children, young people and families
- Has a pronounced cross-disciplinary mindset and flair for collaboration across authorities, professionals, schools and day care
- Is well formulated in writing and systematic in its approach to documentation and planning of own working time
- Can create structure in a sometimes chaotic daily life
- Can create relationships through shared activities and interests and sees the value in meeting children and young people in their own communities. This can be through sports, training, gaming, creativity, outdoor life or other activities that provide opportunities for contact, motivation and development.
It is an asset if you have knowledge of and experience with
- Diagnoses and psychiatry
- Trauma
- Family dynamics.
