Skilled and visionary chief physician sought for Ward 5, Psychosis and Special Ward – Psychiatry, Gødstrup Regional Hospital

We are seeking a chief physician with an appointment starting 1 January 2027 or by agreement. The position is a permanent position and as a rule a full-time role based in Gødstrup.

Regionspsykiatrien Gødstrup covers the general psychiatric function in the western part of Region Midtjylland. Ward 5 is a specialized 24/7 ward with 11 beds, primarily responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with psychotic disorders, ADHD, developmental disorders or a court-ordered treatment. You will join a specialized team that handles clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment. We offer a high professional standard in patient care, and you will therefore be part of an ambitious team – both mono- and interdisciplinary. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social and health care assistants, pedagogues, a social worker, a clinical psychologist and a specialist doctor and doctors in postgraduate training programs.

We continuously work to develop our professionalism and treatment methods through curiosity, openness and knowledge sharing. Part of your job will also be to conduct internal teaching and guidance, just as you will participate in collaboration with external partners.

We are looking for a chief physician who

• is a specialist in psychiatry with broad psychiatric experience, and who can meet the assessment criteria for specialists set by Region Midtjylland
• has extensive experience with the particular manifestations of psychiatric disorders, and special conditions for treatment and assessment in relation to the given patient group
• possesses personal integrity, flexibility and good collaboration skills and at the same time has good communication skills and understands the value of a well-functioning multidisciplinary collaboration
• is willing to participate in teaching and development activities, including mentoring of junior doctors
• is interested in on-call work, as there is in principle an on-call obligation in the position

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Association of Specialists and Danish Regions.

The applicant will be assessed based on the 7 physician roles. Please submit your application including documentation of competencies within the specialist roles.

In Psychiatry at Gødstrup we are more than 400 skilled and engaged staff who diagnose and treat patients with mental illnesses in six municipalities around us. Our treatment pathways are both outpatient and inpatient. We have four inpatient wards in Gødstrup, 3 outpatient clinics and outpatient functions in several of the surrounding municipalities.
