Would you like to help create structure, development and quality of life for people with special needs, Kofoedsminde is seeking new employees with a background in pedagogy or social and health care assistance.

About the position

You will become part of a competent and interdisciplinarily strong team at our 17 departments. Here live adults with developmental disabilities under legal measures. Our residents have clear dreams and goals for their lives - and you will be an important support on their journey.

We work in a structured and purposeful way based on individual action plans, professional reflection and an appreciative view of people.

Your tasks

• Create and maintain professional relationships based on trust, respect and structure.
• Support residents’ daily life and personal development through pedagogical and health care methods
• Work preventively and de-escalate in relation to residents’ mental and behavioral challenges, where you will need to handle situations where residents may be sad, frustrated or acting out, in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Document professional observations and development in collaboration with colleagues and management
• Actively contribute to a professionally strong environment with a focus on development and cross-disciplinary sparring.

We expect that you

• Are educated as a pedagog or SSA – or have experience from similar positions.
• Are inclusive, mentally robust, stable and professional even in pressured situations.
• Are reflective and professionally curious – and contribute to a collegial community where learning and development are prioritised highly

About Kofoedsminde: Kofoedsminde is a nationwide, specialized secured 24-hour institution for adults with legally adjudged developmental disabilities. We have both secured and open departments as well as employment and activity offers. We have departments in Stevns and in Rødby, and in all departments we work with a focus on development and well-being for the residents within the limits we have at our disposal.

Salary and employment terms: Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. As an employee at a secured institution you receive a security allowance in line with the collective agreement.

Starting salary for collective agreement employees

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
