About the job
Pedagogical, Psychological & Health-professional Advisory for PPS (Pædagogisk, Psykologisk & Sundhedsfaglig Rådgivning), Billund Municipality, maternity leave vacancy
Is a good working life for you a day-to-day with meaningful tasks, opportunity for influence, and a strong collegial community, both mono- and cross-disciplinary? Then this might be you we are looking for.
PPS consists of in total about 36 employees with five different professional backgrounds: health visitors, speech-language pathologists, special educational mentors, pedagogical psychological advisers and a physiotherapist. In collaboration with parents and professionals in kindergartens and schools, PPS is part of the early, preventive effort and contributes to ensuring good development and learning opportunities for all children and young people.
This work is supported by the interdisciplinary collaboration, where PPS acts as a central player in cooperation with, among others, the Family Department and the Youth Department. In addition to the internal cross-disciplinary collaboration within Billund Municipality, PPS also participates in several external collaborations with both maternity wards, child and adolescent psychiatric departments, privately practicing doctors and Campus Grindsted.
Furthermore, since 2024 PPS, in cooperation with Family House, has offered a range of accessible treatment options for children and youth experiencing psychological distress.
At PPS we are focused on ensuring that our collaboration with kindergartens and schools makes a difference for the children, youths, and families whom all our tasks target. More and more children and youths show signs of distress. It requires that our focus is practice-oriented, and that recommendations target the child’s everyday life. We are together with the professionals around the child curious about what lies behind the child’s behavior – what it invites – in order to be ambitious and targeted on behalf of all children.
One of our pedagogical psychological advisers is going on maternity leave and therefore we are seeking a pedagogical psychological adviser for a 37-hour maternity cover.
We emphasize that you
- Have relevant education and qualifications, including a background as Cand.Psych, Cand.Pæd.Psych or MSc in Pedagogical Psychology
- Have a desire to help kindergartens and schools create developmental communities for our children and youths, and can see yourself in the playful approach that characterizes the entire children and youth sector in Billund Municipality
- Be professionally well-founded, keep children in mind and can translate your knowledge into various arenas
- Have experience with working consultatively and can engage in close collaboration with day-care and school leaders
- Have the courage and willingness to challenge common assumptions and preconceptions – in an appreciative manner
- Have self-insight – and know yourself, alone and in interaction with others
- Are able to prioritise among many tasks and concurrent processes in a busy and demanding work environment
- Have experience with PPR work
We offer
- We handle a varied range of tasks and are sought-after partners. You will be attached to 1-2 schools and associated kindergartens
- A strong professional environment with wonderful colleagues who meet each other with trust, commitment and humor. We are a small municipality with a high degree of continuity in the PPS team, currently consisting of 1 pedagogical consultant and 9 psychologists, of which 8 are authorized.
- A high degree of interdisciplinary collaboration characterized by seriousness and a respectful tone. We have a rich tradition of close cooperation, both internally in PPS and with the other interdisciplinary actors; family department, school- and kindergarten area.
- Focus on personal and professional development and learning – both during and after any authorization. Including continuing education and opportunities for internal and external supervision
- Great independence, flexible working hours and challenging tasks within a framework where you have the opportunity to influence development
