About the job
Educational-Psychological Advisor for PPS (Pedagogical, Psychological & Health-Professional Counseling), Billund Municipality
Would a good working life for you be a daily routine with meaningful tasks, opportunities for influence and a strong collegial community, both mono- and cross-disciplinary? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
PPS consists of in total about 36 employees with five different professional backgrounds: health visitors, speech and hearing therapists, special pedagogical advisors, educational-psychological advisors and a physiotherapist. In collaboration with parents and professionals in day-care and schools, PPS is part of the early, preventive effort and contributes to ensuring good development and learning opportunities for all children and young people.
This work is supported by the interdisciplinary collaboration, where PPS acts as a central actor in cooperation with, among others, the Family Department and the Youth Department. In addition to the internal interdisciplinary collaboration within Billund Municipality, PPS also participates in several external collaborations with both the maternity wards, child and adolescent psychiatric departments, privately practicing doctors and Campus Grindsted.
Furthermore, since 2024 PPS, in collaboration with the Family House, has offered a range of easily accessible treatment options for children and adolescents in psychological distress.
In PPS we are committed to ensuring that our collaboration with day-care and schools makes a difference for the children, young people and families that all our tasks target. More and more children and young people show symptoms of distress. This requires that our focus is practice-oriented, and that recommendations target the child’s everyday life. We are, together with the professionals around the child, curious about what lies behind the child’s behavior – what it invites – in order to be ambitious and targeted on behalf of all children.
More tasks related to easily accessible treatment mean that we are expanding. Therefore we are seeking an Educational-Psychological Advisor for employment in PPS, Billund Municipality. The position is a permanent 37-hour role.
We emphasize that you
- Have relevant education and qualifications, including a background as cand.psych, cand.pæd.psych or candidate in educational psychology
- Want to help day-care and schools create development-oriented communities for our children and young people, and see yourself in the playful approach that characterizes the entire children-and-youth area in Billund Municipality
- Are professionally grounded, have the children in mind and can translate your knowledge into different arenas
- Have experience with working consultatively and are able to engage in close collaboration with day-care and school leaders
- Are willing and eager to challenge assumptions and preconceptions – in an appreciative manner
- Have self-insight – and know yourself, alone and in interaction with others
- Are able to prioritize among many tasks and simultaneous processes in a busy and demanding work environment
- Have experience with PPR work
We offer
- We handle a wide range of tasks and are sought-after partners. You will be attached to 1-2 schools and their associated day-care facilities
- A strong professional environment with wonderful colleagues who meet each other with trust, engagement and humor. We are a small municipality with a high degree of continuity in the PPR group, currently consisting of 1 educational consultant and 9 psychologists, of whom 8 are authorized.
- A high degree of interdisciplinary collaboration characterized by seriousness and a respectful tone. We have a rich tradition of close cooperation, both internally in PPS and with the other interdisciplinary actors; the Family Department, the school-and-day-care area.
- Focus on personal and professional development and learning – both during and after any authorization. Including continuing education and opportunities for internal and external supervision
- Great autonomy, flexible working hours and challenging tasks within a framework where you have the opportunity to influence development
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A car is a necessity for carrying out the work. We obtain a child-attestation.
