About the job
About the position/workplace
Daycare Svenstrup, Svanereden Kindergarten, seeks an educator.
Svanereden Kindergarten seeks an educator for 37 hours per week, with start on January 1, 2027.
Svenstrup Kindergarten
Svanereden Kindergarten is located centrally in Dall Villaby, in the middle of a lovely local community with nature right outside the door. Here we have good opportunities to use the local environment actively in the children’s everyday life and create framework for play, learning, communities and development. There are also good bus connections to and from Aalborg city centre.
Svanereden is staffed for 50 children aged 3-6 years and is organized into three groups. One group is for our upcoming school-age children, while the other two groups consist of children aged 3-4 years. Each group has fixed associated staff, but we see ourselves as one shared house, where we collaborate across groups and take shared responsibility for the core task – namely to create the best possible conditions for all children’s wellbeing, development, learning and formation. The current position is attached to the group with the upcoming school-age children.
Our pedagogical approach
At Svanereden we believe that adults are responsible for the relationship and for creating safe, clear and developmentally appropriate frameworks for the children. This requires that we are curious about our own practice, dare to reflect on our actions and continuously develop ourselves professionally and personally. We work purposefully to create a child’s life where every child feels seen, heard, understood and as a meaningful part of the community.
We work systematically and with a professionally reflective approach to our pedagogical tasks. Early identification, language development, outdoor play, play, child perspectives and flexible learning environments are natural parts of our daily life. We take the children’s interests, needs and initiatives as our starting point and plan pedagogical activities and learning environments that allow for both immersion, curiosity, movement and community.
We draw on ICDP’s core principles and emphasize recognizing and present relationships, where the individual child is met with respect for their needs, prerequisites and feelings. We strive for all children to experience care, security and appropriate challenges, so they have the opportunity to develop their competencies and participate actively in the community.
Documentation, professional reflection and open dialogue are important elements of our daily work. We want to make our pedagogical practice visible and create a shared understanding of the children’s wellbeing and development in collaboration with children, parents and colleagues. In this way we develop together a daily life where quality, presence and shared responsibility help create the best conditions for a good childhood.
