Educator - DSI Fonden Kærnehuset, a children’s and youth home near Karup in the Central Denmark Region, is seeking an educator

We are seeking a calm and present educator.

If you have an easy smile and a good mood, are authentic and caring.

Can you be a stable adult in a homely environment where calm and presence are in the center, then you are the one we are looking for.

Kærnehuset is operated as a residential facility with homely surroundings. The manager and the deputy live on site.

Our target group is children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, trauma and stress-related burdens.

Our group consists of 5 children and youths aged 8-17 who need a calm and predictable everyday life.

The position is 25-37 hours.

The primary tasks are

That you help maintain a safe and homely environment.

Relationship work - to be a trustworthy, mentalizing and calming adult.

Practical tasks with and around the children’s group - cooking, baking, laundry and cleaning.

Pedagogical tasks and activities indoors and outdoors.

Documentation and professional follow-up.

We expect that you

Have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude.

Are loyal to Kærnehuset and the site’s values.

Have an appreciative and mentalizing approach to children and adults.

Can work independently, be part of a team and adhere to collegial agreements.

Are stable, flexible and a good role model.

Are familiar with milieu therapy, mentalization and KRAP - if you have no experience, you should be willing to train in the area.

Are positively interested in the various tasks.

Are actively participating in team meetings, supervision and other meeting activities.

Can contribute to the development of treatment plans and follow up.

Can work from instructions and understand the legal framework we operate under.
