About the job

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with special needs?

We are looking for an engaged pedagogue for the G-classes at Lynghedeskolen in Grindsted

Do you have special educational experience, strong relationship skills and a desire to help create development, well-being and participation opportunities for students with ASD and ADHD?

So maybe you are the one we are looking for.

From 1 December 2026 we are seeking a trained pedagogue for 37 hours to our G-classes at Lynghedeskolen in Grindsted. The position is distributed between the school and the SFO.

Who are we?

The G-classes are Billund Municipality's specially designed special education services, primarily for students with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD.

The G-classes are part of the ordinary public school, and our work takes as its starting point the Danish School Act’s purpose clause as well as applicable regulations and guidelines – always with a focus on the individual pupil's needs, resources and development opportunities.

With us you meet students who are different – and who therefore also need different paths to learning, well-being and belonging.

For us the relationship is the starting point

We work purposefully to create a school day where students experience safety, predictability and the opportunity to succeed.

You will become part of a cross-professional team with teachers, pedagogues and teaching assistants, where we together create the framework around the students' school life.

With us we work, among other things, with

  • a validating and resource-oriented approach to the students
  • safe, manageable and predictable frameworks
  • teaching and pedagogical activities based on the pupil's competencies, resources and potentials
  • individual action plans and systematic follow-up on the students' development
  • ADL training and development of the students' independence
  • social communities characterized by equality, participation and respect
  • involvement of the local environment as a natural part of the students' learning and development
  • pedagogical efforts, including school refusal and participation difficulties.

Who are you?

We are looking for a pedagogue who can recognise themselves in several of these descriptions:

  • You have solid special educational experience – preferably with students within the ASD area.
  • You have experience with planning pedagogical interventions with an ADL-oriented approach.
  • You have experience with or interest in working with school refusal and students who have difficulty being at school.
  • You are a flexible, curious and open colleague who actively contributes to professional development.
  • You can work systematically with observation, documentation and follow-up on students' development.
  • You are clear and well articulated – both verbally and in writing.
  • You can see the value in a strong cross-professional collaboration and thrive on working closely with both teachers and pedagogues.
  • You meet the students with calm, respect and positive expectations – even when things get tough.
  • You want to help develop our offering and at the same time contribute with your own professional competences.

Lynghedeskolen is a large and vibrant school with a primary school, a special department and an after-school program (SFO).

We have an engaged and interested parent community and staff who are collaborative, academically curious and development-oriented.

We believe that the best solutions are created together. Therefore we place emphasis on a work environment where there is room for professional sparring, different perspectives and a good laugh in everyday life.

As a pedagogue with us you will have the opportunity to be close to the students, and at the same time be an important part of the professional work around their development.
