About the job

Children and Youth

Are you an engaged, trained pedagogue who is passionate about the preschool age, finds value in creating safe environments with space for play, immersion and good ideas – then you might be the person we need by December!

We welcomed the first children and their guardians on September 8, 2025 and we are still a new children’s house.

The Kindergarten is normed for 100 preschool children and 48 infants in four preschool groups and three infant groups.

We are one house, helping each other and since our start have continuously received new children and families throughout the house.

We are seeking, as of December 1, another skilled pedagogue for our Kindergarten, as we continuously receive more children.

Our staff consists of pedagogues, assistants, a house assistant and an administrative employee. In addition, we are affiliated with a technical maintenance team.

We are a leadership team consisting of a head and a deputy head.

In our pedagogical work we focus particularly on relationships and positive interaction, and we always meet children and parents with an appreciative and welcoming approach.

We place high importance on quality in interaction with the children in daily pedagogical practice and work purposefully to establish frameworks and play environments where all children can thrive and develop in communities.

We bring sustainability and nature education into play with a basis in the ideas and interests of children and adults in a good childhood.

We are well underway in establishing the foundation for our kindergarten, and we expect you to participate actively in the exciting task of starting a new institution with go‑getting, initiative and flexibility. There are no “old hands” here yet, and together we shape the direction that will form the framework for a safe everyday life for children and parents, and lay the foundation for a strong work community.

The positions are 35-37 hours per week.

We expect that you as a pedagogue

  • Are caring and can create close and developing relationships with all children.
  • Can convey the joy of being outdoors to the children, bring nature inside, actively engage body and senses in play, and be curious and exploratory at child height.
  • Are professionally competent and can translate theory into practice
  • Can work structured in everyday life and systematically with planning of practice, including incorporating data and creating knowledge as a basis for development.
  • Can involve the children in establishing high‑quality play environments and see the value of small child communities within the larger community.
  • Have knowledge of the new strengthened curricula
  • Have experience working in early childhood education and are passionate about creating safe environments for the children.
  • Contribute to a positive and constructive collaboration with colleagues, management and parents

We offer

  • Involvement in the ongoing startup and further development of a new daycare institution, including arranging play environments and shared facilities inside and outside, as well as planning a new common pedagogical organization and practice.
  • Participation in learning communities with competent colleagues.
  • Influence on the development of the pedagogical practice and professional direction.
  • Feedback and sparring from colleagues and management to develop practice.
  • An development-oriented daycare where children's and adults’ well-being is a high priority and where employees’ competencies and potentials are put to use.
  • Trusting collaboration between management and employees.

We are happy to show the house to interested parties. If you wish, you can contact Merete for a closer arrangement:
