A resident would like to participate in cooking but needs help getting started. Another would like to be able to do more on their own but needs you to give time and break the task down. For a third, the most important thing right now is to have a calm and recognizable morning.

We are looking for a trained educator for House 4 at Bostedet Høvejen.

The practical first

• Fixed position of 30–37 hours per week.
• Start on 1 January 2027.
• Mixed day and evening shifts.
• Opportunity to request every other or every third weekend.

You will be a part of the citizens’ daily life

In House 4 there live 13 younger and older residents with physical and/or mental disabilities and varying needs for support around the clock. Høvejen is located in Vorup in Randers.

You help with everyday activities, practical tasks and personal care. At the same time you use your educational professional skills to give residents the opportunity to choose, participate and do what they can themselves.

For example, you may support a resident in handling part of the morning routine, choose an activity or participate in a task together with others. You tailor the support to the resident’s wishes, strengths and needs that day.

We are looking for an educator who translates ideas into action

We would like a colleague who wants to create development together with the residents. This means, among other things, that you:

• Find a concrete next step. You explore what the resident wants, and help make it feasible to try.
• Give room for the resident’s own contribution. You wait, guide or divide a task so the resident can participate with what they can.
• Investigate when something doesn’t succeed. If a resident says no to an activity, you are curious whether the timing, support or activity should be changed.
• Follow up on your support. You describe what you tried, how the resident reacted, and what is relevant to do next time, and apply your professional skills.
• Use your colleagues. You bring a concrete situation to professional discussion and help agree on what you should try next.

Development can be learning something new, maintaining a skill or experiencing more calm and influence in daily life, and the direction is based on the resident’s life and wishes.

You must be a trained educator, and in your application we would like to hear about a situation where you changed your way of supporting a person – and what you learned from it.

You can help change our practice

Høvejen is undergoing change, and you will have the opportunity to shape our processes and workflows.

This means, for example, that you can point to a workflow that makes it difficult to provide good support, propose a change and help test it together with colleagues and management. We expect you to contribute with your observations and ideas and follow up on the agreements we make together.

We work with KRAP as our foundation, and use supervision where we can explore concrete everyday situations and get help to find new possible actions.

In 2027 we begin training in and implementing LA2U at Høvejen. You will become part of the program and, together with your colleagues, translate what we learn into support that makes sense for residents.
