At Nordbakkens Børnehus we are looking for a pedagogue who is passionate about children from 0-6 years and wants to help create the best development opportunities for all children. We are looking for a colleague who both has the professionalism in place and wants to use it with us – and who thinks it should be both meaningful and fun to go to work.

Who are we?

Nordbakkens Børnehus is a sing-certified integrated daycare facility in the lovely, rural Nordrup, about 10 kilometers from Ringsted centre.

We have about 45-55 children from 0-6 years and 12 staff. We are spread over two sites, where the youngest stay in department 1, and the oldest in department 2. We are close to the local school, and have a close and good collaboration with it.

With us, professionalism is important. The same is presence, well-being, development and good relationships. We work every day to create a daily life where the children can be curious, play, learn, develop and feel safe.

And we also believe that good relationships also apply among the adults. We want to be an employer where people help each other, dare to ask, dare to wonder and may laugh together.

What will you do?

As a pedagogue you will be an important part of the work to develop our pedagogical practice and ensure high professional quality. You will have the opportunity to put your own mark on everyday life and bring both your professional competences, your personality and your experiences into play.

Since we are sing-certified, you should be willing and brave to use singing as part of your professional foundation. You do not necessarily need to have the best singing voice; the rest of us practice continually. Training will take place both with our external partner Sangens Hus and through your colleagues.

You will among other things work with lead roles, help lead in the pedagogical practice and have focus on children in vulnerable positions. You will also be part of the cross-disciplinary collaboration and work with documentation and evaluation. If you are curious about leadership, there may be an opportunity for the right person to sniff into this.

Shortly: You should help to make what we already do well even better.

Who are you?

You do not need to be able to do everything. We actually don't expect it. But we hope you want to learn, develop and share what you are good at.

You meet children and adults in an acknowledging and respectful way, and you have a sense that children are different and therefore also need different things. You have professionalism, initiative and courage to contribute – even when you do not necessarily have all the answers.

You can give sparring to your colleagues, and you dare say: "That was interesting – why do we actually do it that way?" You see opportunities rather than limits and actively contribute to a good working environment.

You are a team player who takes responsibility for the community, and you may very well have a good and contagious mood. We believe that it is easier to create good days for the children when the adults are also doing well together.

And yes – of course you must be able to write reasonably understandable and figure out the most basic IT things. The rest we help each other with.
