Educator for Nordlys Kindergarten

We are looking for a colleague for the kindergarten who meets children, parents and colleagues with recognition, positivity and professionalism – and who wants to actively contribute to our community.

Our pedagogical foundation

In Nordlys we work from an acknowledging view of children, where the relationship between child and adult is crucial. We create frameworks that support the children's courage, curiosity, resilience and social skills.

For us, pedagogy takes place all day – in play, routines, transitions and interaction. We plan the everyday with the current group of children as a starting point and work consciously with the balance between structure and flexibility. We place emphasis on creating a safe and predictable learning environment, where we as adults create security and calm throughout the day.

Nordlys is an integrated day-care located on two different sites in the centre of Vordingborg. The nursery has 28 children, and the kindergarten currently has 56 children, distributed across 3 groups.

We are looking for a pedagogue who is eager and capable to both walk alongside, take the lead and take responsibility for the broad collaboration around all our children, while also allowing space to cultivate the small groups and the close relationships.

We plan and develop the pedagogical practice at staff and team meetings. We are part of the large pedagogical development project “All Children's Daycare” as well as a large language project “We Learn Together”. Through this we focus on developing learning environments and are in a start-up phase regarding using KIDS as a tool to support the pedagogical quality.

About you

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who

• Is passionate about working with kindergarten children and contributes with a high level of professionalism that you can translate into practice.
• Works acknowledging, caring and structured
• Has an eye for both the individual child and its resources as well as the child community
• Takes responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of the pedagogical practice
• Contributes actively to collaboration and our common direction
• Values a respectful and professional parent collaboration – also when conversations are difficult
• Can develop professional development descriptions of children

Practical information

The positions are 37 hours per week. 1 hour per week is deducted for meetings, etc. Employment from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.
