About the job

Educator or pedagogical assistant for the infants in Børnehuset Troldhøj

Are you good at playing?

Are you passionate about creating participation opportunities for all children?

Then Troldhøj may be your new workplace!

We are seeking an engaged, presence-minded and playful educator or pedagogical assistant for our nursery. The position is 30-37 hours per week with starting date December 1 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Who are we?

Børnehuset Troldhøj is an integrated 0-6 year institution with 65-70 children distributed across two kindergarten groups and a large nursery group.

We are part of Dagtilbud Vest, which consists of nine nurseries, resource groups, pedagogical supervisors and a common day-care leader. At the same time, we have our own pedagogical leader in the house, ensuring close leadership.

In Troldhøj we are focused on the work with our core task

To create play and learning communities , where all children can participate, thrive and develop .

We work from a resource-oriented view of childhood, where all children should experience themselves as valued and significant participants in the community.

What characterizes Troldhøj

In Troldhøj we value diversity and community. We meet each child as a unique individual while consciously working to support positive children's communities and safe relationships.

We are trained in ICDP and Tryghedscirklen (Circle of Security) and our pedagogical practice is built on presence, reflection and professionalism. The children's groups are often divided into smaller play and activity groups, and we deliberately work to create good play and learning environments both outdoors and indoors.

We collaborate closely across the house and particularly emphasize a safe transition from nursery to kindergarten.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is professionally grounded and can create inspiring play and learning environments.
  • Has an eye for the child’s perspective and can organize daily life according to the children's needs, interests and the pedagogical curriculum.
  • Meets children, parents and colleagues in an encouraging, empathetic and professional way.
  • Works from a resource perspective and sees both the individual child’s and the community’s strengths and potential.
  • Is present, clear and relationally strong
  • Actively participates in the children’s play and is aware of the play’s importance for children’s well-being, development and formation
  • Can maintain focus on the core task.
  • Is flexible, proactive and adaptable in a often busy and unpredictable daily life.
  • Has knowledge of ICDP and Tryghedscirklen or a desire to train in them.
  • Prioritizes a close and trusting parent collaboration, where you are aware of your responsibility for the cooperation.
  • Is a team player who contributes positively to the community

In Troldhøj you will receive

  • An experienced, engaged and caring staff group that has space for you, whether you are new to the profession or have experience behind you
  • A work environment characterized by trust, humor and collaboration
  • Good opportunities for professional development and influence on pedagogical practice
  • Annual norm with allocated time for preparation
  • Regular group meetings and opportunities for professional sparring
  • 3 annual well-being conversations with the pedagogical leader
  • A small staff group with a short path from idea to action
  • The possibility to be part of both the close Troldhøj community and the larger professional community in Dagtilbud Vest and Odder Municipality

Our shared pedagogical foundation rests on five central building blocks

Belonging, mastery, formation, curiosity and joy.
