The Skanderup Childcare Institution is an integrated day care with a nature profile. We are normed for 48 infants and 60 preschool children. In the building we have 4 infant groups and 2 preschool groups with about 40 of our preschool children, while our upcoming school-age children are each day picked up by bus and driven to our forest house in the middle of the idyllic Hareskov.

We are centrally located in Rødovre with very good access to both public transport, library, construction play area and with green excursion destinations such as Vestvolden, Engen and Damhussøen close by. Our physical framework is good, and we have a large green playground with opportunities for movement and immersion.

We have a monthly staff meeting in the evening hours, a room meeting every 14 days during daytime, and two annual staff study days, where we delve into professional themes. All educators have 1 hour of preparation per week, which takes place during the daytime.

Your profile

We are looking for an educator or pedagogical assistant for one of our preschool groups here in the building and for our infant group. Whether you are newly graduated or have many years of experience does not matter. The most important thing is that you meet both children and colleagues with recognition and an open mind.

• has a strong commitment, overview and presence
• meets children at eye level
• is curious about the child perspective
• sees all children as competent and as co-creators of everyday life
• sees opportunities in the pedagogical work with outdoor life and nature as the foundation of daily life, both through planned and spontaneous activities
• can contribute with care and presence for the individual child and for the group
• wishes to contribute to and participate in a reflective culture, so we continually become sharper in our own practice

Salary and terms of employment

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement and after agreement with the authorized negotiating organization. The position is available from December 1, 2026.
