Childcare Institution Skanderup is an integrated day care with a nature profile. We are normed for 48 toddlers and 60 kindergarten children. In the building we have 4 toddler groups and 2 kindergarten groups with about 40 of our kindergarten children, while our upcoming schoolchildren are picked up by bus and driven to our forest house in the middle of the idyllic Hareskov.

We are centrally located in Rødovre with very good access to both public transport, library, construction play area and with green excursion destinations such as Vest volden, Engen and Damhussøen nearby. Our physical premises are good, and we have a large green playground with opportunities for movement and immersion.

We have a monthly staff meeting in the evening, classroom meetings every 14 days in daytime as well as two annual staff study days, where we delve into professional themes. All educators have 1 hour of preparation per week, which takes place during daytime.

Your profile

We are looking for an educator or pedagogical assistant for our one kindergarten group here in the building and for our toddler group. Whether you are newly educated or have many years of experience does not matter. The most important thing is that you meet both children and colleagues in an affirming way and with an open mind.

No one can know everything, but we are looking for someone who

• has great engagement, overview and presence
• meets children at eye level
• is curious about the child perspective
• sees all children as competent and as co-creators of everyday life
• sees possibilities in the pedagogical work with outdoor living and nature as a foundation in daily life, both through planned and spontaneous activities
• can contribute with care and presence for the individual child and for the group
• wants to contribute to and participate in a reflective culture, so we continually become sharper in our own practice
