Educator for the Fritidsklub Klub Utterslev (maternity leave cover)

Club Utterslev is seeking an engaged pedagogue for a maternity cover – a colleague who is passionate about leisure-time pedagogy and can inspire the children to actively participate in a wide range of activities both in and outside the club.

About the job

You will be responsible for planning and carrying out activities in the crafts workshop, e.g., sewing, knitting and ceramics, and you thrive with cooking as an educational activity and would like to have several areas where you can run activities with the children, e.g., outdoor life, drama, film or something else entirely. You share responsibility for the operation of the kitchen and the crafts workshop and participate in planning activities and purchases.

You must be able to independently carry out activities and have an eye for adapting them to the children's prerequisites and interests. You thrive in an environment with rapid tempo changes. You can switch between maintaining an overview and calm in periods of busy times, many children and high intensity and initiate actions when there are calm periods with fewer children. You can work inclusively and affirmatively and create space for all children.

You have control of conflict management and can see conflicts as learning opportunities for the children. You can contribute to planning and preparation of courses and activities.

About you

Experience from leisure-time pedagogy is required. Education as a pedagogue is a plus. You are proactive and have the ability to grasp and support children's ideas and initiatives. You are a clear adult role model with clear professional boundaries.

Target group

Club Utterslev has around 215 registered children from 4th to 6th grade. We have a group of children who are curious about new activities and projects, and they share enthusiasm and desire for the club's activity program. The children are very proactive themselves, and we make sure to go out and present our projects to the children who do not normally visit our workshops. Our group of children is full of good energy and good daily contact. The club is part of a leisure center with five other sites in the area.

Employment terms

The maternity substitute is initially 32 hours per week with an evening shift until 9:00 PM. The other days in the period between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and there is a weekly team meeting on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM. The temporary position ends on June 30, 2027. We want you to be able to start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter – we can wait a few weeks for the right candidate.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the employment we will obtain a child and criminal record check and take references.
