Educator for the middle grades at Jægerspris

Are you a clear and present educator with a natural calm that children notice and feel safe with? Do you thrive both in teaching and in after-school pedagogy? Then you may be the educator we are looking for in our 4th grade year at Jægerspris School.

The task

In this school year you will be the extra adult in one of our 4th grade classes. The class is functioning well and calm, but it has been assessed that there is a need for a consistent adult who can support and guide both inside and outside the classroom.

It is important to us that you have knowledge about autism and the pedagogical approaches that can support students who need to be met with understanding of their individual prerequisites.

You will not be alone in the task, as we highly value collaboration – both on the year group and in the class. We have, among other things, scheduled team meetings in all year groups, where the year group team meets for sparring, planning and professional development. The year group team consists of Danish and mathematics teachers, class educators and, when possible, the SUV teacher. In this school year you will be attached to the 4th grade team.

There are also good opportunities for sparring outside the team. At Jægerspris School we have a resource center that can provide sparring and guidance. In addition, we have a good cooperation with both our prevention consultant from CFR and colleagues from PPR.

In this school year we focus on co-teaching, the subject renewal (fagfornyelsen) and communities across classes and year groups.

About Jægerspris School

The school is situated in a scenic location between Isefjord and Roskilde Fjord within walking distance of beech forests, beach and Jægerspris Castle. There are good transport options with S-train to Frederikssund and a beautiful 15-minute bus ride directly to the school's main door.

Practical information

The position is 32.5 hours per week with start on December 1, 2026 .

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the appointment, references and a child care clearance are obtained.
