Educator for the Nordpolen kindergarten group

Then now is the time to seize the opportunity and apply for the position in our well-functioning kindergarten. We are a staff group with six pedagogues and three teaching assistants, who collaborate closely across three rooms for 65 kindergarten children.

We have a vacant pedagogical position for 37 hours per week starting 1 December 2026.

Your main tasks

• In collaboration with a pedagogue and an assistant, support the children's group’s well-being, development and participation opportunities for all children.
• You actively take responsibility and contribute to a learning environment that is characterized by care, play, joy, clear organization and not least close and intimate relationships with attuned interaction.
• You contribute to a close parent collaboration with a focus on each child’s well-being and development.

Your competencies

We are looking for someone who is trained as a pedagogue. You are positive, present and acknowledging in your communication and interaction with both children, parents and colleagues. In addition, we place emphasis on:

• You have knowledge of pedagogical practice and a reflective approach to yourself and your colleagues.
• Your fundamental view of children is that all children can succeed and do their best in any given situation.
• Have good collaboration skills, are structured, have an overview and can maintain calm.
• You can contribute to children's play competence and help support shared attention and participation opportunities for all children.

Who we are

As the only one in Ballerup municipality, “Børnehuset Nord- og Sydpolen & Isbjerget” is separated on three sites with a physical distance. We are distributed with a daycare (vuggestue), a kindergarten and an age-integrated department. Therefore we are in daily life “smaller institutions” in the big one.

“Nordpolen” is a small independent department normed for 65 kindergarten children spread over three rooms. However, we have a large group of older children across winter and spring. We are 10 staff and a kitchen assistant for our lunch arrangement.

Nordpolen is part of District Skovvejen, located in a pleasant natural area close to Harreskoven, meadow and bog. In the district there are four kindergartens: Nord- and Sydpolen & Isbjerget, Ved Skoven, Lundegården and Valhalla. Together we are about 90 staff and about 400 children.

Each kindergarten has one or two pedagogical leaders close to the core task. Additionally, we have a district leader who, in close collaboration with the pedagogical leaders, handles co-creating a common direction and professional development in the district.

We have networks for nature, culture, language and internship guidance and an annual shared competence development day. In our district there are long traditions of cross-department work on larger activities such as Det skolestartende barn, Sambaoptog, Kartoffelløb, Middelalderprojekt, and more.

Employment process and salary

The employment date is 1 December and we conduct interviews as we receive applications.

Positions are generally 37 hours and are permanent.

Application deadline: 28 October 2026 .

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogues in the municipalities. Employment occurs according to the principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position is 35,990 DKK – 43,193 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is determined after negotiations between the employer and the professional organization that has the right to negotiate within the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement, based on the principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.
