We are looking for a professionally skilled pedagogue for our baby unit with strong relational skills, who will help create care, good relationships and development for the children at Blikfang.

Relationships / secure attachment

In Blikfang we build our pedagogical foundation on secure attachment, mentalization and meaningful relationships. We always present ourselves as present and caring adults who meet the child at eye level. We believe that children thrive best when they are met with warmth, engagement and an affirming approach, where their feelings and experiences are taken seriously, and they are seen as the whole person they are.

Play

For us play is essential. The playful universe is crucial for the children’s well-being and development. Therefore we are very focused on arranging all corners and nooks into places where one can play – both outdoors and indoors. We focus on good and developmental play, where the child develops strong play skills.

Physical environment

Despite being right in the middle of Christianshavn, we have some truly wonderful and lovely premises.

Inside there are plenty of rooms and corners designed with different play zones, and we have rooms for movement, nature and science and for reading and immersion. We call these rooms the lab, as it should encourage us together with the children to wonder, explore and experiment.

Outside we also have different play zones, trees, a beech hedge and shrubs, where children can play and hide, a newer climbing frame, swings and a trampoline.

We focus on ensuring that all children can join in play, and each zone is animated clearly every day. The zones should contribute to a broad learning environment with many different learning opportunities.

Who are we?

Blikfang is a cozy, small, integrated institution regulated for 68 children, distributed between 24 nursery children and 44 kindergarten children, which is split into two teams. A nursery team and a kindergarten team, both working with small fixed play groups every morning, where we support the group and each child’s well-being, development and learning.

We are centrally located in Christianshavn close to the harbour and close to bus and metro.

Blikfang is part of Inner City / Østerbro Cluster A (Cluster IBA) in Christianshavn, which consists of Børnebastionen, Børnehuset on Holmen, Smørklatten and Krudthuset.

Terms of employment

This is a permanent position as a rule at 37 hours per week. The appointment is as soon as possible.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to qualifications and the applicable collective bargaining agreement between the municipality and the relevant professional organization.

In connection with the employment, we will obtain a child and criminal background check as well as references.
