Club Den Gule Cykel in Viborg is buzzing with creativity and development. Here we work purposefully to help children and young people figure out who they are and what they want to use it for. Would you like to join?

Here everyone wears a bubbling yes-hat and contributes to a lively and curious pedagogy. We create relevance for our members through an academically grounded approach, where humor and play are conscious tools in the pedagogical work.

We are bold in our choices and methods, and we invite children and young people to explore boundaries, in a responsible way, through imaginative and risk-tolerant play, where development begins where the comfort zone ends.

About the position

Den Gule Cykel is a leisure-time and youth club in Viborg's northern district. We offer activities, community, presence, and movement of body and mind, for children and young people from 4th grade up to 18 years.

Since 2020 we have been a club focused on presence, analog communities and digital health, as a natural part of practice. Read more in the attached link Den Gule Tråd.

We are seeking a pedagogue for 37 hours per week, who can actively join our team and contribute with both professional and personal competences. Working hours are primarily day and afternoon hours, but there will also be a weekly evening opening, various trips, events and camps.

We highly value flexibility and meaningful task solving. You will therefore have influence over your work planning, including preparation time.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who

• Is curious about the target group and dares to put themselves into the game.
• Is passionate about something you want to 'infect' others with and create meaning around. Elaborate these interests / activity 'sources of contagion' in the application.
• Has the desire and ability to create strong relationships and inclusive communities.
• Is open, flexible and ready to learn new things – even in deep water.
• Is proactive and creative – both alone and in collaboration.
• In the club we are "multi-armed octopuses" in terms of activity. This even though we are not necessarily world champions in all activities. The activities attract, but the relationships retain, therefore your willingness to participate, learn new things and challenge yourself is most important.

You will, in return, have great influence and autonomy, solid professional sparring and a place in a strong team.

Who are we?

We are five permanent employees who lift as a team and believe in the energy that arises from shared engagement. With an 'anything is possible' mindset we create the fantastic unexpected and continually develop a practice that pushes the boundaries of the content of good leisure life.

Our everyday life is diverse and fluid. As part of Viborg Ungdomsskole we have access to a wealth of tasks, e.g., mentorship, teambuilding, school pedagogical tasks, outdoor activities, leisure teams, etc. It gives you the opportunity to bring your special competences into play and develop in new directions.

We moved into a newly built large club building dedicated to leisure, located between Nordre School and Mercantec, three years ago, and the collaboration with both schools is strong and developing. You will have the opportunity to shape the club's further path – at a time when leisure pedagogy has never been more important.
