Strawberry Meadow Daycare seeks an educator or pau

Position to be filled

1 educator/pau, 37 hrs/wk, 1.11.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

Strawberry Meadow is normed to accommodate 80 kindergarten children and 40 nursery children. We work in teams and clusters throughout the day and in the late hours we share a single building. In the morning hours we work with smaller development groups 4 days a week.

The pedagogical vision for Strawberry Meadow centers on nature and on how outdoor life can function as a learning environment in a meaningful and visible way. We focus on the joy of being under the open sky every day, and on having nature as a priority, but also through awareness of sustainability and how we together take care of the environment.

The foundation for daily pedagogical practice draws on Neuropsychological Relational Pedagogy, which is a holistic pedagogical approach where the task is, among other things, to support the child’s development by “watering” their budding learning seeds and being the safe base for development. In addition, we work from the strengthened curriculum and learning throughout the day. Pedagogical and organizational adjustments are made to daily life according to the current group of children.

We are well underway with developing our pedagogical daily life, but there is still plenty of opportunity to participate in co-creative processes with focus on both professionalism and community. There is room for creativity, curiosity and for you, together with the rest of us, to influence and shape practices around the good childhood. Therefore we are looking for a new colleague who has strong relational skills and is passionate about putting their imprint on everyday life.

What we expect you to be able to do

• lead in bringing nature completely into everyday DNA
• work relationally and reflectively with children, colleagues and own development
• maintain overview and presence in the group of children as a whole and in relation to each individual child
• act loyal, structured, as well as be flexible and reliable
• play and immerse yourself, follow and develop the children’s initiatives
• take initiative, work independently and contribute to planning, execution and documentation of practice.
• Use IT-based tools e.g. Aula, Teams, Outlook, etc.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, as well as rules on new wage formation. In connection with the appointment, child and criminal records checks will be obtained.
