Educator or Special Educator for Nursery

Are you passionate about working with families in vulnerable positions and would like to be a 3rd pedagogue in a toddler group, then apply here!

We are seeking a trained pedagogue or special pedagogue for a permanent position in a toddler group of 12 children and 4 adults. The number of hours and start time are not that important to us, so we can discuss that.

Mimers Brønd Daycare House is located in the Farum City Centre, close to Farum Town Centre and the station. The house has on average 24 toddlers and 38 kindergarten children; at the moment we are 18 staff members. We have a very high proportion of families in vulnerable positions, as well as multilingual children.

We are a house with many different cultures among both children and adults, and it enriches our everyday life in the finest way. For example, our multilingual staff provide security and calm when we welcome families who do not yet speak Danish. We have a close collaboration with all our families and see the whole family as part of our day care. This is evidenced by the fact that we offer home visits to all families before they start.

The staff group mainly consists of a group of experienced staff, many of whom have been in the house for many years.

Care, presence, community and language

We place high value on presence and care for each child, as we believe that it is in the safe relationship that we can support the child’s well-being and development. We divide into small groups daily and are happy to go on trips with a few children. The oldest toddler children visit, among other places, the local nursing home once a week.

Since we see children as competent and experts in their own lives, we emphasize their participation, which contributes to their engagement in meaningful communities. In addition, we see play as fundamental to the child’s formation, learning and development.

We always focus on the child’s language development, as we believe that nuanced language is important for good life opportunities.

We have a large, lovely playground that challenges both motor skills and the senses. Indoors we prioritize good inclusive learning environments. Here there are small and large communities, and everyone shares responsibility for making everyday life hang together, both on each room and in the house as a whole.

Preparation and sparring

As a pedagogue at Mimers Brønd you have 1 hour of preparation per week, and participate in about 8 annual staff meetings of 2 hours each; in addition there are room- and department meetings. We also have two PPR pedagogues permanently in the house, and we have close sparring with a speech therapist, psychologist, etc.

Salary and employment according to current collective agreement. We provide a Furesø allowance on top of the collective agreement salary and an allowance for a high share of socioeconomics.
