At Holstedgaard we are expanding our staff group and are seeking an educator who through trusting relationships can motivate, involve and collaborate with our residents. We work purposefully so that residents experience participatory decision-making, security and a home-like environment where their wishes, needs and dreams are at the center.

Our residential care facility is first and foremost the residents' home. Since several of our residents, in addition to mental disorders, also have somatic problems, we provide a holistic approach. As an educator with us you should therefore expect that there are periods where you will participate in and be responsible for performing personal care as a natural part of the resident's daily life and well-being.

About Holstedgaard

Holstedgaard has 69 places distributed across several teams. We offer both temporary and longer stays under the Danish Act on Social Services §§ 107 and 108 for adults over 18. The target group is people with various psychiatric disorders and often complex somatic problems.

We are in the process of implementing and anchoring KRAP (Cognitive, Resource-oriented and Appreciative Pedagogy), which frames our professional approach. Here we work with a focus on residents' strengths, resources and development opportunities.

The position includes day and evening shifts as well as working every other weekend.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Are educated as a pedagogue or have another relevant social-pedagogical education.
• Are prepared to take responsibility for and participate in the personal care and somatic support of the residents.
• Have experience with or interest in the social-pedagogical field, preferably within psychiatry.
• Work in a professionally reflective manner and can translate theory and method into practice.
• Can document professional interventions and follow up on goals and sub-goals.
• Are responsible, flexible and able to maintain overview in a varied daily life.
• Thrive with both independent work and collaboration in smaller teams.
• Appreciate collegial sparring, feedback and joint reflection.
• Are proactive and wish to contribute to the ongoing development of our residential care facility.
• Are willing to engage in a learning environment where curiosity, professional development and reflection are a natural part of everyday life.
• A driver's license is not a requirement, but would be an advantage.

Practical information

• Working hours: The position is 25-37 hours per week with start date as soon as possible.
• Employment process: We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we have found the right candidate; if you do not hear from us the position has gone to another candidate.
• Criminal record: The position is subject to rules on obtaining a criminal record. Employment can only take place when a satisfactory criminal record is available.
