Educator sought for structure and everyday mastery – 10 hours per week

Do you want to use your pedagogical professional expertise in a 1:1 assignment, where clear communication, structure and motivation are central elements? Then we are seeking a pedagogue to support a woman in her daily life in her own home.

About the assignment

The woman has physical and cognitive disabilities and needs pedagogical support to create overview, structure and coherence in daily life. She faces challenges with memory, concentration, planning and organization and becomes quickly fatigued both physically and mentally.

She benefits from short, concrete and clear messages, where it is clearly stated what the next step is. Therefore it is important that you help make everyday tasks manageable and support her in moving from intention to action.

The assignment is based on her daily life and can include, among other things, creating structure around practical tasks, making meal plans, shopping and cooking together, and creating an overview of finances and fixed expenses. You also support with remembering and maintaining relevant appointments and with creating structure around activities and employment.

Motivation is an important part of the task. You must be able to support and guide without pressuring and be mindful of her energy level, so activities and tasks are adapted to her resources on the individual day.

The woman enjoys reading, watching films and using her phone. She also has a cat at home.

About you

You are a trained pedagogue and have a calm and understanding approach. You are clear in your communication and can translate larger tasks into small, concrete and manageable steps.

You can create structure and predictability while taking the woman's motivation and daily form as your starting point. It is important that you can work independently in a 1:1 relationship and support with patience and respect for her independence.

Working hours

The position is 10 hours per week distributed over 2-3 shifts.

Shifts can be on weekdays and weekends as well as in day and evening hours. The specific times are agreed with the client. For example, two shifts at 10:00-15:00 or 12:00-17:00.

Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the citizen's own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work-related injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
