Educator sought for Tejn Allé Kindergarten

Børnehaven Tejn Allé has 40 wonderful children aged 3-6 years, and we are looking for a trained pedagogue who wants to help create a safe, inspiring and developmental daily life for our children.

The position is with commencement on 1 December 2026.

Welcome to Børnehaven Tejn Allé

Børnehaven Tejn Allé is a satellite institution to Vuggestuen Corneliusmindevej. Both the kindergarten and the nursery have two rooms each. In total we are a work community of 18 staff, including the manager and deputy head.

Although nursery and kindergarten are in separate houses, we have a shared leadership and pedagogical direction. We work closely across, and we see it as a strength that we can spar with each other and create coherence for the children.

The kindergarten is located in a cozy area close to green spaces, playgrounds, the beach and Tårnby Town Centre, where there are also good possibilities for public transport. We actively use our nearby environment and, among other things, go on trips to the library, Nature School, Kastrupgårdsamlingen and other interesting places in the local area.

Play is an important part of our pedagogy

At Børnehaven Tejn Allé we are focused on creating good learning environments that inspire children to play, immerse themselves and participate in communities.

We see play as a central part of the children's everyday life and as an important path to well-being, development and learning. Therefore we are also focused on the adults' role in play and on how we as pedagogical staff can create the best conditions for all children to participate in positive play communities.

In daily life we work both with planned activities in smaller groups and with being present adults who follow the children's initiatives and support their play.

Your everyday life with us

As a pedagogue with us you become an important part of the daily work to create an exciting and playful everyday life for the children.

You will among other things have the opportunity to immerse yourself with smaller groups of children in planned activities. You will also be an active part of the children's play – both in the classroom and on the playground – where you have an important role in supporting the children's relationships and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to be part of the community.

We expect that you want to take part in the professional development of our practice. You should be able to wonder, ask questions and be curious about how we together can do things even better.

Working hours

Working hours are on weekdays between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., though until 4:00 p.m. on Fridays.

In addition there are eight staff meetings annually, as well as an annual pedagogical development day.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with BUPL after negotiation.

The municipality's employment policy entails that references are obtained from former and current workplaces at the time of appointment. If you have been employed in Tårnby Municipality, a reference will always be taken from here. In addition, a criminal record certificate must be presented and a child certificate obtained upon appointment. The employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
