Educator sought for the early primary school and after-school care – with a focus on the smooth transition

We are seeking a dedicated and relation-strong pedagogue for a position of 32 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time.

About the job and the tasks

Tørring School is a public school right in the middle of a local community in rapid development. The school has approximately 450 pupils distributed across grades 0-10, of which 140 are SFO children and 60 staff. Our focus area is to create sustainable inclusive learning environments, with particular emphasis on visual guidance and a mutually rewarding and binding parent collaboration. “WE DO IT TOGETHER, so the pupils can learn and thrive as much as possible” is our shared starting point for the reciprocal binding parent collaboration. In addition, systemic thinking is a cornerstone of our work.

As our new colleague you will be a central part of the lower school, where your primary focus will be on our current 3rd grade. You will join a close and dynamic team collaboration, where we collectively focus on the children’s wellbeing, learning and social development.

We want a pedagogue with knowledge of bridging, which is the important transition between local kindergartens and the school. Here the task will be to create safe and coherent transitions that make the shift from kindergarten child to school pupil good for both children and parents.

In our SFO you will become an active part of our SFO. Here you shall together with the rest of the SFO team set the frameworks for pedagogical activities that both strengthen each child’s self-esteem and support the large, inclusive children’s community.

• You have experience with or a strong interest in the target group in the lower school.
• You are passionate about bridging work and can create networks and collaboration across institutions.
• You are imaginative and full of energy when it comes to initiating activities in the SFO that capture the children’s interest.
• You see parent collaboration as an important resource and meet both children, parents and colleagues with acknowledgment and a smile.

Salary and conditions

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility of negotiating qualification and job-based pay.

Starting date is December 1, 2026.
