Do you want to help create children's lives with a sparkle in their eyes?

At Skals Børnehus we are looking for an engaged and professionally strong pedagogue for a permanent position of 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026. The position is anchored in the kindergarten, but you should be willing and see the value in working across our departments when the task calls for it.

We are two kindergartens with joint management, shared values and a common goal: that all children experience joy, develop life skills and have the opportunity to master their own lives. Our pedagogical work is based on Viborg Municipality's focus areas: Evaluation culture, We learn together and Strong child communities .

Skals Børnehus offers modern and inspiring learning environments for both nursery and kindergarten children, while Skovbørnehaven Fredly forms the framework for a unique everyday life close to nature. Together we create diverse learning environments with room for different children, staff and competencies.

We are seeking a pedagogue who

· Is a trained pedagogue and is passionate about making a difference for children.

· Can create safe, developing and inspiring learning environments.

· Sees play as an important foundation for children's well-being, development and learning.

· Has awareness of both the individual child and the importance of the community.

· Is curious about own practice and motivated by professional development.

· Values close and trustful cooperation with parents.

· Contributes actively to collaboration with colleagues and cross-disciplinary partners.

· Takes initiative, shows commitment and at the same time sees the strength of the community's solutions.

· Loves to work from a playful approach where children's perspectives and initiatives are central.

Knowledge of TOPI, VLS or Sampraksis is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important is your curiosity, your engagement and your desire to learn. We ensure a thorough introduction to our pedagogical practice and the tools we work with.

Salary and employment terms

Salary is determined based on the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience as well as your professional and personal qualifications. Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary determination in accordance with the rules on equal pay for equal work or work of equal value.
