We are experiencing great interest in our new offering and are continuously receiving more children. Therefore we are now seeking an engaged and presenceful pedagogue, 37 hours per week in a permanent position from 1 December 2026, who wants to become part of our team. We can be flexible regarding the employment fraction.

Dagtilbuddet Vest – a community for 4 day cares towards the West

Dagtilbuddet Vest consists of four departments; Svalehuset in Janderup, Outrup Kindergarten, Skovmusen in Oksbøl and Mælkevejen in Nr. Nebel. Dagtilbuddet Vest has an overall daycare leader and a daily leader in each department. The appointment is in Dagtilbuddet Vest with the workplace in one of the departments. As a pedagogue you report in daily work directly to the daily leader.

In Dagtilbuddet Vest we take as the starting point in our pedagogical practice the latest research-based knowledge about children's development and development-supporting contact. We meet each child with a neuroaffective understanding and maintain a continuous focus on creating high quality in our core task – the children’s development, well-being and formation.

We take responsibility for the contact and relationship with the child, and therefore all employees participate continuously in Marte Meo basic training, a training program with Christina Abildgaard. We see ourselves as the most important pedagogical tool in the work of supporting children’s development of socio-emotional competencies. We have particular focus on development-supporting contact and emphasize following the children’s initiatives in interaction.

Professional knowledge sharing and collegial support of the pedagogical practice are given high priority because we want to strengthen each other in the work of creating the best possible quality in the core task.

We prioritize a good working environment where openness, responsibility, curiosity, flexibility and shared responsibility for the good atmosphere are foundational values. At the same time we work innovatively and continuously explore and develop new initiatives.

In addition to our own training programs, employees also participate in Varde Municipality’s competence development, which currently includes ICDP as well as a cross-cutting development program with Anders Seneca with the aim of making good even better and strengthening the quality in our core task across the day-care sector.

Outrup Kindergarten and nursery – an oasis located on 4 tønderland

In Outrup Kindergarten and nursery we see diversity as a strength that creates development, community, and inclusivity. We have a strong collaboration with parents and our local community.

In Outrup Kindergarten and nursery we have a wonderfully large playground on 4 tønderland. The playground includes a forest, a sledding hill, an obstacle course, a fruit garden, birds, rabbits and much more, which we use as a pedagogical learning space. In addition, we regularly enjoy going on trips with our bus, which we share with some of Varde Municipality’s other day-care institutions.

Whether you are an experienced pedagogue or recently graduated, it makes no difference. What matters is that you are curious with the children in the nursery and that you are development-oriented and reflective together with your colleagues in order to create the best quality for our core task – the children’s well-being, learning and development.

You will take responsibility for a group of children and what that entails in terms of parent conversations, written work, etc. If you do not have much experience with it, there is the possibility to be trained by an experienced pedagogue.

As a new employee pedagogue you will receive a thorough introduction to the position as pedagogue in Outrup Kindergarten and nursery.

Our expectations of you

We are seeking a pedagogue for our newly established nursery department who works and communicates based on an appreciative approach, and who takes responsibility for building safe and meaningful relationships with each child. You have – or are motivated to acquire – knowledge about development-supporting contact and attachment, and it would be an advantage if you have experience with the target group 0–3 years.

You actively contribute to an open and trusting parent collaboration, where the dialogue is characterized by respect and transparency. At the same time you work independently and manage to take a clear and appreciative leadership in both smaller and larger groups of children. You have an eye for the child’s perspective and see it as a fundamental basis for the framework around play as well as planned and spontaneous activities.

You are focused on working systematically with didactics and can plan, initiate, implement and evaluate pedagogical initiatives with a focus on creating high quality for our core task. In this context you are open to giving and receiving feedback as a natural part of professional collaboration.

We also value that you want to use the outdoors and our animals as an active and integrated learning environment throughout the day – whatever the weather. You are curious, exploratory and have the courage to try new ideas and initiatives in practice. At the same time you contribute with good humor, spontaneity and a positive approach that helps create a fun and meaningful everyday life for both children and colleagues.

In addition, we expect you to have good IT skills and be able to communicate in writing, and that you are flexible regarding working hours.
