In Børnehuset Maglehøj we are looking for a professionally strong and engaged educator who has an eye for the children, the relationships and the strong child communities – and who wants to actively contribute your professionalism, your perspectives and your ideas.

We are well underway with developing the structure and pedagogy in and around our practice. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute with your professionalism and help set the direction for a daily life where the good childhood is at the center.

A daycare house close to both the town and nature

Børnehuset Maglehøj is centrally located in Frederikssund South in beautiful green surroundings near the Ådalen with forest and lake nearby. The location gives us many opportunities to take the children out of the house and actively use both nature and the local area in the pedagogical work.

We are an integrated institution with

• nursery group Alferne (0-2.5 years)
• kindergarten group Skovtroldene (2.5-4 years)
• kindergarten group Kæmperne (4-6 years)

Our playground also provides space for different forms of play – from fire pit, climbing frame and ball court to small corners where children can immerse themselves, create their own games and be together in smaller communities.

In daily life we focus on presence, relationships and the good childhood. We work with a basis in the strengthened curriculum themes and ICDP, and we focus on creating safe, developmentally appropriate and inspiring learning environments for all children.

We need your professionalism

As an educator at Maglehøj you will play a central role in the children's everyday life and in the development of our shared pedagogical practice.

We are looking for a colleague who is curious about their own and others' practice, and who wants to bring their professional perspectives into the community. You should want to reflect together with colleagues and the manager, translate professional knowledge into action and help create frameworks and learning environments where children can thrive, develop, play and be part of meaningful communities.

As an educator in Frederikssund Municipality you will become part of a professional environment with opportunities for education and competency development.

In recent years we have among other things worked purposefully with ICDP , which supports our focus on relationships and interaction between children and adults.

Culture and nature are also central elements in the pedagogical work. Through the municipality's culture trails, kindergarten children encounter music, art, prehistory and library programs. It gives the children the opportunity to meet different cultural expressions and experiences as part of their kindergarten life.

The nature is also a natural part of our pedagogical work. Frederikssund Municipality is surrounded by nature, and Maglehøj has it close by. Here forest, lake and green areas can become pedagogical spaces for play, movement, immersion, community and curiosity.

Practical information

The position is 35-37 hours per week with start on November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter .
