About the job

Put your pedagogical ideas into play with us, and help create a safe and development-focused learning environment for all children.

Bulderby is seeking 2 pedagogues: 1 for the kindergarten and 1 for the nursery. The position is available because we are welcoming more children and because a colleague is retiring.

About Bulderby

Bulderby has just turned 10 and has space for about 250 children aged 0-6, including an international group. The kindergarten is organized into four clusters: Mellemgården, Sydgården and Nordgården (nursery and kindergarten) as well as Emil’s Workshop, which houses the oldest kindergarten children and the international group.

We have strong physical facilities that invite play, exploration and learning. Each cluster contains both close, safe zones and larger shared areas. The learning environments support the children’s development, well-being and formation through play, challenges and experiences, where the safe meets the exploring.

All meals are prepared in our own kitchen according to the principles behind the Meal Label – with a focus on healthy, tasty and inviting food.

We are a large and diverse employee group who each day work with commitment for good childhoods. The staff consists of pedagogues, pedagogical assistants, helpers, students and kitchen staff. We are currently about 60 staff and 3 leaders.

We offer a pedagogical everyday life with room for your ideas, professional development and a strong collegial community.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking pedagogues who

  • prefer to have experience with children aged 0-6
  • are curious and reflective and contribute to shared professional development
  • work based on Viborg Municipality's view of children, parents and collaboration
  • plan and organize daily life based on the children's perspective
  • are a team player and contribute positively to the community
  • work inclusively and strengthen children's communities
  • create safe and meaningful days for the children
  • meet the children with curiosity and engagement
  • work in a structured way and take responsibility in tasks and collaboration
  • are flexible regarding start times and can work outside regular hours
  • have knowledge of – and preferably experience with – curricula, TOPI, Marte Meo, Vi lærer sammen and Sampraksis
  • reflect professionally and are keen to develop our practice

The pedagogical environment you will become part of

In Bulderby we work purposefully for a pedagogical environment where all children meet opportunities for development and well-being.

For us it is important that you experience safety and presence. We create this through good collegial relationships and a trusting collaboration with the management.

We also place emphasis on you being able to shape everyday life and the pedagogical environments, so that both practice and professionalism develop continuously.

A strong community

You will become part of a large and diverse staff group of about 60 colleagues, who every day work to make a positive difference for the children.

We prioritize a good start with a thorough introduction to the task and the daily practice. You will receive a mentor who will continually help you settle in.

Viborg Municipality – vision

We work to create strong, healthy communities where all children can participate actively and feel themselves to be meaningful. Based on our view of children, we meet children with trust that they do their best, and we as adults take responsibility to create frameworks that enable development and change. We see every child as a child with value and potential, and in collaboration with parents and professionals we support them to become as skilled and independent as they can.
