About the job
Marjatta is seeking qualified pedagogues for Svanen at Sampovig Adult Center on Stevns Do you want and have an interest in working with people with developmental disabilities? Do you want to make a difference and become part of a new team, with lots of humor and high professionalism? Then you are the one we are looking for in Svanen.
Sampovig is one of Marjatta's four adult centers, where we work social-pedagogically from Rudolf Steiner's worldview as well as Marjatta's jointly developed value, goals and action framework.
Svanen is a housing facility in rapid development with increasing resources, and therefore we have the possibility to hire 1-2 trained pedagogues who can help shape the future.
In Svanen daily life is simplified through rhythmic repetitions so that residents can be competent in their own lives. We are a § 108 service for 12 people with special needs aged 22 to 64. They are together and individually according to the moment and their individual resources. By supporting the individual, the path to development and active participation in the community opens.
Your task will be to walk beside the residents and offer your hand in their daily and yearly rhythm through a friendly interpersonal atmosphere as well as clear and safe relationships. You should be part of the house's rhythm with personal care, practical chores, cooking and accompaniment to doctor visits, cultural events within and outside Marjatta's community.
We wish that you are willing to share both the good and small unfortunate experiences that inevitably arise in daily relational work – for shared professional development and sharpening of the pedagogical practice.
We offer
- Skilled, humorous and present colleagues who are passionate about their work and share their knowledge
- When we stumble, we help each other get back on our feet
- When we try something new, we may make mistakes, which fosters new learning and knowledge
- A house where you are met by happy and hopeful residents who want your presence and companionship
- Insight into, and realization of Rudolf Steiner's curative pedagogy/social therapy
- Good opportunities to develop professionally through sparring, supervision and courses
We expect, among other things, that you
- Are aware of the residents' right to self-determination in daily life, as in all aspects of life
- Are prepared to work based on Marjatta's jointly developed value-, goal- and action framework
- Are curious about and interested in working from Steiner's anthroposophical view of humanity
- Support and guide the residents in a respectful manner
- Are positive and professionally sound
- Take responsibility for your work and your professional influence on the residents
- Have an eye for the fact that it is the residents' home you move in
- Are acknowledging and respectful in your approach to people
- Can articulate yourself in writing, and are used to documenting the professional effort
- Have a driver's license and IT skills
The job entails
- Shifts: day, evening and night as well as every other weekend in a fixed rotation and holidays
- A structured and rhythmic daily life with humor, care and practical tasks
- Medication handling
- Pedagogical and health-related documentation, journaling and preferably status writing.
- Administrative tasks
