We are looking for a pedagogue who…

• is curious, creative and would like to come up with new activities that make everyday life interesting and at the same time ensure development or maintenance of the resident's functional level.
• Can formulate clear goals and actions in writing.

• wants to help the resident with personal hygiene, in dining situations, with medication, etc., while using their education and professional Pedagogy.

Riis Friplejehjem – a home and a good place to work

We are part of Danske Diakonhjem and work from the values of closeness, care, inclusivity and individuality, joy of life and community. With us, residents’ life stories and wishes are at the center – and we make a virtue out of creating homely surroundings where life is lived and everyday life has meaning.

Riis Friplejehjem is a newly renovated nursing home with space for 40 residents - spread over 2 floors. We have a wide age range among residents, who are different residents with their own needs, and some are physically care-demanding residents with a psychiatric overlay.

We place great emphasis on it being a home for all our residents – while at the same time there must be room for the individual. We have our own kitchen and both residents and staff meet daily for pleasant companionship around meals.

We have a large hall for joint activities, where the activities staff arranges various activities to the delight of the home’s residents. Volunteers and friends’ circles also play an active role in everyday life

We respect each other’s differences and among staff we place great emphasis on openness - honesty and dialogue – and humor is part of our daily life.

We are a home where relatives should feel welcome, and where they will experience themselves as part of the home. As we are a friplejehjem, relatives also have the opportunity to take part in everyday life to the extent that they have the opportunity and wish to.

About the positions and the benefits

• Working hours can be agreed, but we envision 30-37 hours/week
• Working hours are mixed day/evening, primarily day shifts
• We work every other weekend in a fixed team, eventually every third weekend
• Health insurance, which includes access to physiotherapist, chiropractor, etc.
• A tasty meal arrangement for a small amount
• We have well-being ambassadors and offers of joint gymnastics/exercise several times a week
• Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement

Danske Diakonhjem is a self-governing, non-profit organization with more than 65 years of experience in building and running nursing homes. Danske Diakonhjem is the country’s largest private actor within nursing homes and friplejehjem. Currently, we have 45 homes and well over 3,000 employees.

In addition, our administration agreements, where a number of self-governing institutions use our administrative expertise in areas such as payroll, accounting, housing, IT and consultancy. Thus, Danske Diakonhjem administers and runs around 80 nursing homes, hospices and housing communities.
