Who are you, and what qualities do we expect?

We are looking for someone who is either qualified as a pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, SSA or SSH and has the heart in the right place. You want to develop both yourself and the residents’ daily lives with consideration, security and perseverance. We expect you to meet the residents at eye level and be able to see their strengths and resources – regardless of their starting point.

You have a natural eye for structure and clear, egalitarian communication – both in relation to residents and colleagues. You have good IT skills and actively work with documentation as part of your practice. Flexibility is important to us, and so is the ability to take initiative, follow tasks through to the end and step in when necessary. We also expect that you have a driving license and actively engage in the community across professional groups.

Your daily work and the neuro-pedagogical approach

With us you will support residents both practically and socially, aiming to increase their well-being and quality of life. The daily life at Sankelmarksvej is characterized by structure, egalitarian communication and support for social events. You help residents through relationship work, focusing on what succeeds – and celebrate the successes together with them.

You will among other things

• help and support residents with finances, relationships and conflict management
• support practical tasks such as tidying up, cleaning and shopping
• motivate and support employment as well as structuring the individual’s daily life
• contribute to participation in social events and communities
• take care of tasks around personal hygiene and transfers
• work systematically with documentation and development of our pedagogical practice

We work from a neuro-pedagogical conviction, where the individual resident’s resources, needs and interests are central; the focus is on the whole person. Quality of life and health are closely linked for us – therefore we always focus on both physical and mental well-being in the support we provide. Our residents have very individual needs, therefore we place emphasis on structuring the days and creating predictability and security for everyone. Your workday will include transfers and personal care. Several of our residents are nonverbal or need support in their communication.

We have three vacant positions; two positions are 35 hours per week, and one is 30 hours per week - all three with working hours distributed across day, evening and every other weekend. Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement for pedagogues.
