External lecturer at the Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science

At the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, a position as an external lecturer is available for appointment in spring 2027. The place of employment is Odense. The appointment will, as a rule, be for ½ year.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a number of programs within computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, mathematics as well as courses in oral communication and project management. The applicant is expected to be able to contribute to some or several of these programs or courses.

To be considered for the position, applicants are expected to have a master's degree in computer science or a related field, and either:

• Relevant high-level practical experience not obtained through a university scientific appointment, or
• Employment in a scientific principal position at another university.

The appointment takes place in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Academic Associations for academics in the state, with the accompanying circular to the protocol on the structure of positions for scientific staff at universities and the provisions for external lecturers as described herein.

Applicants must attach proof of the master's degree and a CV that, among other things, provides information about previous teaching activity and relevant professional qualifications.

A release certificate can be issued by agreement.
